Not sure why this gallery has gotten good reviews. I am an avid art collector and OX was very disappointing. The majority of this«gallery» is comprised of 2 artists work, and almost every item for sale was a print. The art they represent isn’t very artistic either — most of it is cliché and unoriginal(perfect chiseled torsos, porn-like covers). Also, the walls were covered with duplicate prints — at least 3 – 4 of each print were on the walls. Prices were high for mass produced prints, even for the niche gay market. I think«tacky art depot» is a more appropriate name than Gallery OX.

I won’t name names, but I was brought here by some friends that are REALLY into male erotic art. I’m not really a huge fan of galleries in general, but I will admit that I do appreciate a fine specimen of man every once in a while. If you’re going to visit XO, be prepared to see everything(and I mean EVERYTHING). I was surprised how small the gallery is, but the walls filled with amazing artwork that ranged from pencil drawings, paint, and reprints. The prices were also very reasonable. I didn’t buy anything in the gallery, but I enjoyed browsing the«selection» of material. My friends ended up buying a couple of pieces that would definitely help«gay» up their über-stylish condo. The guys there were super friendly and they’re ready to wrap it, pack it, ship it, whatever you want, they will do. Overall, great place… be sure to check them out, but whatever you do, don’t bring your mom!

I was very disappointed with my experience at Gallery XO. The owner I worked with seemed exceptionally nice and told me that the framed art would be ready in a week. I was impressed with the quoted speed and price, but my experience ended poorly. When I went to pick up the framed art the next week, it wasn’t ready. The owner said the frame was scratched and he wouldn’t want to give a damaged frame. Then, after another week passed, the other owner called to tell me the frame was ready. I went to pick up the framed artwork, but the frame was damaged. I was surprised that the damage on all four corners met their quality standards, and when I raised the issue with the owners, their response was very defensive. I would have expected them to apologize and try to make the situation right, but instead they were quick to jump to what I would consider as a last resort: The owner resolved the matter by saying he would take the artwork out of the frame, return it to me and refund the purchase — which is what he did! It was a complete waste of my time. I am unimpressed with the lack of professionalism and would suggest going somewhere else for framing.
