I have been using their service in my past three years. I recently asked their service to move my remaining furniture from LA. They were very kind to help me move only two pieces of furniture, antique piano and bookshelf, from LA to fair oaks with very reasonable price. They were so professional, efficient and never damage my furniture or asking higher price when unloading furniture. They move things very quickly and almost always within the first 3 – 4 hours, they charge flat fee for the first 3hours and then hourly, so we hardly had to pay more than three hours. I’m talking about house to house. I am very satisfied and never think of anyone else this time when we were planning to move remaining stuffs. Highly recommend!

Owner operated moving company (Larry) has moved me twice, October 2012 and October 2013. Prompt, polite, organized, careful, affordable and flexible. We just finished in three hours and I didn’t have to lift a finger. After you calculate everyone’s time and expenses (renting the truck, the gas, imposing on your family and friends, the time it takes for amateurs to move you, your broken stuff, the pizza, the beer, the running around, returning the truck) there’s absolutely no comparison. Larry and his crew moved us over to Davis from Sac and they were fantastic. Our old house presented many challenges as we had managed to cram a boatload of stuff in there and its 1920’s era design made it tough to navigate. The guys did not ding a wall or damage a single thing which was no mean feat given that our furniture was very heavy and mostly huge. They also were never still and worked like mad for nearly 12 hours on a boiling hot Friday to get everything done. Kudos and thanks!

They were highly recommended to me by friends who’d used them at least 4 or 5 times. I was tired of exploiting my friends and family into helping me move, especially since my new place involved stairs. WOW! I won’t think twice about calling Larry the next time I move. He and his employee (both deceptively skinny guys) had my whole 700 sq ft apartment (crammed full of books and furniture) into the new place in an hour. Seriously, it was August and hot and gross. It would have taken me and my friends at least half the day and a whole lot of bitching and moaning. With these guys, all I had to do was stay out of the way. I’ve never had such a stress-​free moving day.
Larry was very pleasant over the phone, and flexible on the scheduling. He actually left a family camping trip to move me, then went back to his family afterwards. I will say that the other guy (I assume his employee) was a little sketchy-​looking and complained the entire time about how many books I had, and how heavy my dining table was, and how hard the corner was to turn, and why did I have so much stuff for a one-bedroom…on and on. Larry was smiling and friendly the whole time, and never seemed to give any thought to either how much stuff I had, nor to his partner’s endless complaints.
I was so impressed with the whole exchange, when he gave me the bill at the end of the move, I gave him a big-​ish tip (30%), and he actually didn’t want to take it! I insisted, though. It was worth every penny.

I was referred to Sacramento Moving Service by a co-​worker, and I can say their men were very fast and professional. I went to their web site and got a quote, and the move price went up a little as I forgot to mention I had a piano to move (duh)! I had to sign a form, making sure I realized my price was going to change, and after that we were in our new home! Thank you Sacramento Moving Service!

I’ve moved four households with the assistance of Larry, the owner-​operator of Sacramento Moving Service. He is polite, returns phone calls, shows up on time, is respectful of your stuff, and gets the job done. Competitively priced too.
Larry usually has one or two helpers but has been personally involved in each move we’ve made in the last 12 years. He moved my household across town and hubby’s stuff from Santa Rosa to Sacramento. He also was extremely helpful in moving my grandmother’s belongings from Bodega Bay back into her former house near the desert in So. Cal. And when it was time for her to move to Sacramento to be with her great grandkids, Larry was the first person I called.
I’ve trusted Larry and his helpers each time I’ve had to move and he’s never let me down. Responsible and reliable.
