After some time I realized this is for people or children that are experienced, not new riders. My daughter hasn’t been around horses in general let alone knew how to ride and at 7 years old was expected to know how to do way more than she did. The trainer seemed to not be very patient with her because of this so i’m going somewhere else. it’s a shame, she really liked it there until one of her last lessons and we left with her crying since she was essentially being yelled at the whole time as if she wasn’t listening. A little communication can go a long way. If you are experienced and don’t need much training, it’s perfect for you.

Good luck trying to get a hold of them. They don’t return phone calls and their website has been shut down. I’ve made several attempts to contact them, with no response. Don’t purchase any specials for them through a 3rd party(Groupon, perks, Living Social…)!

My daughter wants to be a «horse rider» when she grows up(she’s 4!), so I called around to find a place that gives lessons to little ones and realized most had an age 6 requirement. I found Saxton on Groupon, and decided to contact Jesslynn for more information. Let me tell you, she is WONDERFUL. She was completely warm and full of information from the start. She agreed to meet with us and give a kind of pre-lesson to my daughter that was fit for her age. We went for our first lesson and Jesslynn teaches so much more than I thought(my daughter likes to point out that horses have a bone in their tail to everyone now), how to prep the horse before and after a ride, the different parts of the horse and riding gear, it was awesome. My kid was extremely excited to jump on and then immediately terrified of the height! I was embarrassed and frustrated, but Jesslynn kept her cool and was WAY more patient than I was at that point. We waited in the arena for 40 minutes until my daughter gave her ok to hop on again. She went slow, kept her distracted and instructed her the whole way through. We’ve been to a few lessons now and she’s just as attentive and helpful. The horses are very calm and gentle as well(we love Voltaire!). I would recommend Jesslynn to anyone, especially if you have a little one interested in riding! Definitely a 5 star business.

I used to ride at another barn down the road but had some issues and stopped riding. I came back to the horse world a couple months ago with confidence issues but jess is really great. I feel like I have made a lot of progress already and I cant wait for another lesson tomorrow! :)

I have been taking lessons from Ms. Saxton for about 6 months and she is great. I have always felt safe on the horses that I have been riding and I feel like I have made significant progress. I look forward to taking many more lessons. Andy
