We stayed here with a wedding party before and after the wedding at a local venue. The water(hot and cold) smelled like sulfur both days so no one was able to shower or drink from the tap. The blankets were barely thicker than the sheets and the window coverings don’t block light. The kicker is that the hot tub never got hot enough to actually get in. Please don’t stay here until they fix these issues.

The sign over the kitchen cabinets said«Welcome» but we sure didn’t feel that way. The cabin was not clean, the furnishings are outdated and depressing, the TV was tiny, only one light bulb worked in the bathroom, the only basic amenities were linens — no bath soap, no dishwashing soap, no drinking water, no ice. The water smelled horrible, although it did clear up when we did what the notice said and drained the hot water heater — why wouldn’t this be done before we arrived? The WiFi didn’t work and when we tried to call the number shown on the paper in the cabin, it was no longer in service. Also, there was no key as we were told upon booking the cabin so we had to leave it unlocked while not there. For $ 185 per night we were sorely disappointed and will not be returning again. This cabin was slightly better than camping and camping costs a lot less!

My wife and I spent the weekend at the Clover Cottage of Kelly’s Country Cabins. Our stay was great except that they advertised access to internet which was not the case. Instead of just explaining the situation to us(whatever it was), we got no real response from the owner or property manager as to why the internet was not working. Upon leaving, I called the property manager Jim Kelly to politely ask for a small refund because of the false advertisement and lack of internet. Jim informed me that since it was a mistake the owner would not refund any of the money. Last time I checked, good business owners offer something when they screw up and the consumer doesn’t get what they were told they would get. Apparently these guys don’t believe in kindness or common sense customer service. Next time we enjoy Wimberley, we will not be staying with Kelly’s Country Cabins!
