I used to come here when I was a kid. The place is almost exactly the same which I loved. They have swimming, arcade, and an old fashioned ice cream parlor! Fun times, and there is also a little gift shop with cool goodies

We visit Pioneer Town mainly for the Cowboy Museum run by Jack Glover — a real old Texas dude. He’s a super nice guy and has an extensive collection of art and old fire arms — and a 5 foot tall jackalope you can take your picture on. Kids love it the place. So do I.

Very cute, some interesting old buildings. If you like historical stuff and western stuff, you’ll like Pioneer Town. Not worth a trip by itself, but if you are in Wimberley for the weekend, it is certainly worth an afternoon.

I LOVE Pioneer Town but you have to bring your sense of humor and irony. They have these great(read:terrible) set ups of mannequins playing cards and other household activities and an 8 foot stuffed«jackalope». There’s never anyone there since the liability insurance forced the closure of the fort and the train so it’s really desolate and rad. There’s also an arcade and an ice cream parlor. Did I mention that it had it’s heyday in the 60’s?
