Amazing barn! This place is clean, well run, in a very pretty and rustic setting. The owner Colleen is super nice and very professional. The one instructor I met and worked with was an amazing lady named Rachel. My first time visiting was sometime in early May 2013 it was super cold, lessons were cancelled. Colleen, Rachel and Colleen’s daughter Brooke greeted me and showed me around. The horses were well cared for, they looked healthy and happy. The place was super clean too as were the tack, paddocks & cross ties. They don’t have separate areas for boarders(also known as owners) Unfortunately several barns here in central Texas treat lesson students differently(read more poorly) than owners. Not Silver Fox Farms. Colleen and her staff take great pride in their esson horses, she owns them all and they are important to her. And lesson students are treated like valued clients. I was working a program that was going to get me from a beginner, to lease a hose, to eventually buy and board my horse. There was a hiccup, minor injury and the heat. I will be back. I learned so much here. Prior to coming to Silver Fox Farms, I spent 3 months at a barn where I learned close to nothing, at Silver Fox Farms I got to ride horses that were sensitive to leg and hand aids, they were very responsive, polite, happy go lucky and they too, the horses were good teachers :-) Colleen and Rachel’s style of teaching is cool, they stress fundamentals, fundamentals, fundamentals. I even got to do a barn lesson one day when I wasn’t up to riding and got to train a pony! They are understanding, warm and welcoming. I loved it there. I will be back this winter, and wish they were closer to town. I have ridden at 3 other barns in town, and visited 6, by far Silver Fox Farms is Sans Pareille! French for without match in this area. Love you guys, and gals, and kids and horses! Dea xoxoxo

Having known Owner/Trainer, Colleen since the early 90s I can wholeheartedly say that she is one of my longest lifetime friends and one of the very few people in this world that I unquestioningly trust, both in word and with any of my horses.
