We stop here as many times as we can when we are in Wimberley. Great service, cute shop, and delicious coffee. Everything we have tried is delicious but my favorite is the mocha latte and the caramel macchiato.

Man, not only was my caramel macchiato delicious, but the guy at the counter was super nice and friendly. We talked about Paul McCartney and how sexy he is for 70-something. Hey guy with the anchor tat on your bicep — heeeeyyyy ;)

We were visiting Wimberley for the first time and looked up Unilocal for some recommendations for good coffee. We come for a coffee drinking culture so our standards are pretty high. Without expecting much we ordered cold brew and cappuccino. Amazing! i cannot remember when was the last time we had such a flavorful and aromatic cold brew coffee. Cappuccino was made just right. not too much milk and enough foam! We were also hungry, so since they didn’t have the paninis any more, the guy recommended home made granola bars. I just ate it and had to write the review! OMG! Hemp granola bar… to die for! I am inspired to try and make them at home now. Stuff was so friendly and welcoming… looking forward to my next trip!

I should have mentioned their thermos of dark roast fully-leaded coffee was barely warm, and my wife’s frozen blended drink was 3 stars as well, oh well…

Service was outstanding, and their cold, brew coffee was sweetened with condensed coconut milk!!! Absolutely heavenly! Next time I come through Wimberly, TX, I’ll be hitting this place up again. Oh yeah, the price was really good, it didn’t feel like a tourist trap.

I love that Wimberley has a good coffee shop. Having lived almost all my life in Seattle, I have very strong opinions about my coffee and so far my options in Texas had not fulfilled my desires. I do however, love everything I get from Sip! I am particularly in love with their cold-brew coffee. It’s delicious and smooth, and good enough to drink without sweetener or milk. Today I tried their Mayan Mocha for the first time and it’s a great treat; spiced dark chocolate and coconut milk, something I can cheat on the Paleo diet with and still not feel too bad about once in a while. Usually everyone is very friendly and the service is always fast. I do miss the paninis they used to make, but I understand it didn’t make sense for their menu. But boy were they good! The owner of Sip! also donated coffee to us at Rio Bonito while we were doing initial hard cleanup after the Memorial Day flood this year, which was unbelievably appreciated. She handed me a couple of pump-pots and just said«bring them back when you can». Very, very nice.

Amazing! So wonderful to have all types of options, including dairy free options. I had the iced Mayan mocha with coconut milk and it was out of this world! Friendly quick staff and good music. I will be coming back often when I’m in the area. What a gem!

There are two positive and two negative critiques to this place. The two positives are the drinks and breakfast tacos. There’s no reason why our town can’t have the same quality if not better than you’d find in a large metropolitan area. Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed the positives this time. The first negative is the sign posted by the cash register that says they reserve the right to refuse service to anyone they feel is disrespectful. This type of sign is typically a red flag that they have problems and it’s typically their own defensiveness. If you own a business, you’re going to have challenging situations and need to learn how to deal with them. This sign that I never noticed before foreshadowed the second negative which is how belligerent the barista was to my 70-year old mother. The barista was distracted by a guy whom I typically see in there. I’ve ignored it in the past, but when someone is providing a service that someone is paying for, they need to focus on that person as opposed to socializing. Because of this, the barista wasn’t paying attention to the cleanliness of what she was doing, so my mom asked her if she could remake her drink. She did, but she didn’t get the second drink right, so my mom asked her if she could make it again. The barista started to pour the drink back into the metal cup to reheat it. My mom stopped her and the barista snapped«why can’t I just reheat it!» This caught both of us by surprise. She finally just remade it without us saying anything. The problem with reheating it is your contaminating your equipment after someone has taken a drink. No telling how many times that’s happened. Secondly, you ruin the espresso by doing that.

My husband enjoys Sip’s coffee as an alternative to the ubiquitous Starbucks, which we don’t have(thank goodness) in Wimberley. When we eat breakfast at the Wimberley Café(right next door) we pop in to Sip for coffee and hot tea for me as I’m not a coffee drinker. I am almost addicted to their cute little mini cinis(mini cinnamon rolls). The bulletin board is packed with business cards and flyers and art for sale by local artists adorns the walls.

Mayan mocha. Sweet baby Jesus. So delicious I went both mornings I was in town and drank a large before I got out of the parking lot. I really liked this coffee shop and wish I lived closer.

Iced americano was perfectly made. Hot tea was good as well, though the lid kept popping off as we walked around… not sure if it was just a low quality/cost cup but it made for a bit of a hot mess. Workers were friendly and chatty. Makes for a good quick caffeine pick-me-up while shopping!

Loved my cappuccino! Perfect foam. And I can tell you, as can everyone else, I’m flat-out obnoxious-picky about foam.

This place is really a hidden gem in Wimberley. The coffee is incredible and I feel like the staff has always been really polite, ask for a Cortado!

Good coffee. Cute, shabby chic décor. Food — sandwiches and pastries looked tasty. The two ladies working were chatty and kind — offered some ideas of things to do/see and places to go. Downside? Self-serve coffee and 1x thermos was empty — the one I wanted, the other was decaf, so I was left with the one available brew?! Boo. Hard to tip at a self-serve coffee house that has empty serving thermoses?!

I have a secret addiction. Much like a teen taking that first sip of beer in the high school parking lot after homecoming; a sip that will lead to a path of addiction, lies, financial ruin, and bad decisions, I tasted a certain cold coffee beverage peddled by a certain boobtacular mermaid and her green-aproned minions and have not been the same. And I don’t even like coffee! I think. So, because Wimberley is a quaint town that remains free from the clutches of the green temptress, I needed someplace to get my fix. And it was glorious. I think I had a scone or something, but I don’t really remember because the frozen caramel frappé had me under its spell. Yes, it probably has a bazillion calories.(To her credit, the mermaid will take pity on you and offer a sugar-free variety.) But it was absolutely worth it. It is a good thing I don’t live near Sip on the Square because I would need a 12-step program. I probably do already, but we haven’t reached the end of my after-school special. (Attempt at wit aside, the food options around the square are not ideal. Grab a snack and a delicious coffee at Sip and then go to the Leaning Pear if you’re still hungry.)

Super friendly staff awaits you in this small little coffee shop in the small heart of the shopping square of Wimberley’s hill country. They weren’t aware of what a shot in the dark/double red eye was, but they were more than willing to make anything that was asked for given you could provide them instructions. The shop offered a variety of coffee flavors, though I didn’t get a chance to give them a go, though the Snicker doodle was eying me the whole visit. Definitely a quaint little place to grab a quick pick me up and have a friendly chat with the locals.
