Is there anything better than a drive in? At five dollars a person for two movies(sometimes four), Airline is probably your best bet for cheap summer entertainment. The concession food is basic but tasty and you can always supplement with your own snacks(but really, buy something at the concession and keep this place open!).

Bugger an Alcorn’s Pocket Gopher and shit in an Allegheny Woodrat’s hat. The tragic erradication of the American drive-in theater and it’s cultural legacy is a far more pressing concern. Sure, cars and car culture dragged us into economic and environmental hell, but c’mon, it’s the drive-in! Enough of my yappin’. The Airline is a great two screen cinema close to the state line. A classic snack bar offers shitty hotdogs, popcorn, burgers, and occasionally a midnight breakfast of greasy eggs, fatty bacon, and margerined wonder toast. Reasonable prices and insolent teenager help. Don’t want to sit in the car for the quadruple feature? Make out on the ubiquitous playground gear up front. Between features, Airline splices in ancient intermission snackbar spots showcasing confections not seen in decades. Who knows how many more seasons the Airline will survive. Pay your respects before it’s too late!
