I’ve never seen Dr. Byrd, but my husband and I have both been regular patients of Jill Defibaugh for several years. The staff seems competent and professional and I’ve never had a bad experience. They may not be as abundantly welcoming and friendly as other offices I’ve been in, but I’d attribute that to them simply being busy.
However, we absolutely love Jill and would follow her if she ever went to another practice. She’s friendly and easy to talk to about your health. You can tell that she is really listening attentively and cares about your well-​being. I’m extremely needle-​phobic and tend to procrastinate on blood work, and I struggle with weight loss. Even with those issues, Jill is compassionate and never makes you feel bad about any issues you are facing. She gives medical advice without lecturing or belittling, and she’s even patient when you come in with internet research to discuss ;-)

I used to enjoy the service at this Family Practice but their back office staff is fairly incompetent. Both my wife and i have had to fight with their office to get clerical errors coded incorrectly resolved. One of the errors amounted to over 2500.00 incorrectly billed and the other coding error was around 100.00
The back office lady argued that it was the hospitals fault both times. The hospital only performs and bills insurance for what is ordered /​coded by the general practicioner. Never a «oh this is my fault i will get it resolved…» I did eventually get my 2500.00 issue resolved after about 2 months… maybe 3 i forget… as im trying to forget about the whole ordeal. I give them a D on accountability.
Ohhh…dont think you’ll get much help from the office manager as she’s the daughter of the lady doing the coding.
