We were traveling cross country and needed somewhere to stay last minute with a dog. We stayed at a another Best Value Inn the night before, so we figured this place would be comparable. Not even close. –It was full of really questionable people. Like, a bunch of construction workers who ogled me the whole time we were out of our room. –It was kind of yucky. The whole thing was kind of… acceptable. Not particularly clean, but not horrifying. There were pen marks on the pillow cases, and black hand marks on the walls. The bathroom appeared to be clean, and there were no bugs or anything. –They allow pets, no questions asked. One of the only reasons we stayed here. –Free wifi, but no fridge or microwave. Basic, old TV. This hotel was half the price of the surrounding hotels. You get what you pay for I guess. If you want a comfortable hotel, you’re just going to have to shell out a lot more money. If you have a pet, the same goes. We only found 2 other hotels that would allow pets, and they all were booked or required a non refundable deposit. So, if you’re desperate for a place to stay, this will do. Beyond that, stay away if you can. Not comfortable or inviting.

Évaluation du lieu : 3 Washington, DC
Dingy but cheap. We stayed here for $ 60. We were driving to DC from Saint Louis, and this is pretty much where we decided to stop after getting a late start to the drive. We left Saint Louis around 5:30pm CST, and arrived in Winchester, KY around 12:30am EST. Originally we had planned to stay in Lexington, KY, but apparently, I — 64 avoids driving straight to it. Jason told me to pull off the highway any time I was ready since we were driving separately and he was following me since I had the GPS. When we did pull off, we rolled up to a Holiday Inn Express. Jason went in, and the dude behind the counter was completely cold and not helpful at all. He pretty much told Jason that everything in town would be booked, and to try a Hampton a few miles up the road. When Jason asked if he had the number to the place, he didn’t even offer to look it up. He simply said, ‘Nope.’ Geeeezzz… night shift people. Jason came back out of the hotel and explained to me what just happened. Next door was where we saw the Best Value Inn. We rolled up to its entrance and by golly! They had some vacancies. Now, let me point this out — this place is not much better than a Motel 6. The purpose was to find a place to sleep for the night, and that is exactly what we ended up doing. I don’t have any horror stories about this hotel or anything. It just really wasn’t your luxury hotel. If your ok with simplicity, and not wanting something extravagant, then this place really hits the spot. We had two full size beds. We totally took advantage of this and slept comfortably with a full night’s sleep. Typically I can’t sleep in hotel beds very comfortably the first night, but these beds were great. I loved that they had fitted sheets. It annoys the living crap out of me when they tuck in top covers to uses as the fitted shit. Totally not the case here! This place is pet friendly. My cats Loxli and Emery were along for the adventure and we just happened to find a place that would allow them to stay with us. It even advertised it on the sign outside. Sounds good to me. The kitties snuggled up in our beds and slept nicely too. Overall the place was clean. There were no visibly obvious problems. I know that really isn’t reassuring, but after a long day, it was the farthest thing from my mind. I will say that I always make a point to wear my shoes any time I walk on hotel carpet. I don’t care if I am staying at the Ritz, I’m just really anal about that stuff. The carpet probably was a bit old, and I don’t want to imagine how it felt. Everything was extremely old. You could tell the place was aged. The sink had some cosmetic issues like cracks around the drain and such. The shower water pressure wasn’t that good. It would run more water out of the faucet than it would the shower itself even when it was in shower mode. They offer free continental breakfast from 6:30am-9:30am even though we got there at 9:45, it was still out. Cool with us! They offer cereal, biscuits and gravy(yeeeeesssss), muffins, toast, and Sunny D, not orange juice. The place was owned by Indians which is totally fine. The Indian décor in the lobby looked like it from a set off of a 1980s Bollywood film. There were lots of different colors in with fake flowers and a statue of Shiva situated next to the old television that was not on. Overall, the place was alright. I am not going to complain when I have a great sleep in a hotel.
