This was wonderful, and we had a great time. The waitresses were both friendly and were kind even though they were busy. The biscuits were HUGE! The only thing that was meh, was the gravy, it was a bit thin but still good. Will be back again.

This place is a treasure! The kind of service that makes you feel at home. We had the Denver scramble, cooked perfectly. Nice strong coffee. I would highly recommend it.

Service was good, waitress was friendly. I have eaten here a number of times always getting burgers and the food was good. I have only been disappointed once, STAYAWAY from the Tri-Tip Philly sandwich it was flavorless and had the consistency of glue… It was just bad, I gave up trying to make it edible. I stole half of my wife’s sandwich(grilled chicken club) which was amazing! Especially after trying to eat my sandwich.

Food is OK was great. Restaurant is looking dirty which is weird due to recent remodel. There is one waitress that assists you while she is on the phone– this has happened several times. My children won’t/ can’t use the bathroom without me as the door doesn’t lock. something has changed.

I don’t like writing negative reviews for small businesses but I had a pretty bad experience. I ordered the skillet with ham and the meat tastes rotten. When I let the waitress know she said sorry but did not take it off our bill? I didn’t even eat it! That’s not very fair. I won’t be coming back either way

Holy moly! This food is so tasty. Simple diner food that just is one step ahead. I had the«skillet»! It’s a huge plate of everything I like. Bacon eggs, hash browns, covered in Gravy. Enough said. It’s not some healthy bistro food. It’s work food. We will be stopping here again. The staff is super friendly and were attentive to our kids. Huge help.

Excellent service and friendly staff. I had the grilled chicken salad with sesame ginger dressing – very good. Hubby had the Philly cheese steak which was very good as well. Fries he had were a bit undercooked but everything else was great.

If I could rate them negative I would. The bar tender Melissa had a major attitude problem and to top it all off. I got food poisoning! While on a road trip… kill me now. Thank you for the food poisoning! This place should be shut down.

Nice spot for breakfast. I think the prices are a little higher than places with similar portions. However, the quality was good, and I feel the slightly higher cost was worth it for the cleanliness and pleasant service and atmosphere. Kids breakfast options were specifically higher than what I am used to, but they were also nicer portions than usual(whereas adult portions were typical). My oldest son who is at that stage of not yet a teenager, yet offended to order off the child’s menu was satisfied. The large bisquit and gravy hit the spot, without an overly greasy feeling. There was enough space inside that my large, young family didn’t feel like a nuisance to others, but we were able to have a quiet, pleasant breakfast ourselves(as opposed to feeling relegated to a loud, noisy chain diner, just because we have young kids). We would definitely stop here again, if we were in the area: some of the lunch options(like the skinny wrap) sound totally delicious, and lunch prices looked excellent.

No-nonsense American food, with great sandwiches and generous breakfasts, including biscuits the size of VW bugs. Extremely warm and friendly service. Recommended!

We tried Del Rey Café after reading its stellar reviews, and it didn’t disappoint! I had the tuna melt on sourdough bread, and it was delicious! My husband had the blueberry pancakes and thought they were amazing and very tasty. The cook knows what he’s doing when it comes to great home style food. We’ll definitely eat here again given the opportunity! The service was great, too!

Great breakfast! Had the ½ biscuits ½ hash browns with sausage gravy. VERY large portion. Enough to share. If I pace by again I wouldn’t mind stopping in for a bite. Very friendly staff.

Del Rey Café Our Saturday errands took us to Winchester, just on the north side of Roseburg. We checked Unilocal and found one place… The Del Rey Café… that got consistent five star ratings, so we decided to drop in for lunch. This place is every inch a typical small-town American diner, complete with a lunch-counter style bar when you first enter, to tables with vinyl tablecloths in the smallish dining room further back. But this is a plus, mind you. We were looking for a tasty, filling lunch, quick and cheap, and in my experience, this sort place nearly always delivers. The menu is heavy on comfort foods. «Breakfast all Day» consists of the usual selection of eggs, waffles, pancakes with with bread, meat and potato sides. Since it was lunch, we picked out a couple lunch menu items. Rose got the basic cheeseburger, which came with lettuce & tomato, and was more than enough for her. I got the lime-marinated chicken sandwich, which consisted of a boneless chicken breast, marinated and grilled and served on a bun with lettuce, tomato and mayo. It had a hint of lime flavor, enough to make it tangy, but not over-powering. I enjoyed it. We both got sides of macaroni salad, which was good, but sort of generic. The service was friendly, and medium-fast. Our bill, including a tip, was $ 26.30. Altogether a pleasant experience. We will likely return the next time our business takes us to Winchester around meal time. «Rose’s Café» #rosescafe1

Definitely a greasy spoon diner. You get great portions and good service for pretty cheap. The food is pretty good, I will definitely be going back.

We stumbled on this place on the way back from a long road trip. We had breakfast/lunch and all of the food was great 0 pig in a blanket for my 9 year old was huge(and it was the kids menu one). My French toast was very good as well. Prices were right as well. I would have given them 5 stars but we were not locals and it was obvious everyone there knew everyone so we were kind of ignored by the help at times.

We love going to our hometown diner! Everybody is very friendly and the service always seems good. We have enjoyed several meals here over the last 2.5+ years and never leave without taking something home. We ate breakfast there this morning. They had our coffee poured before we even had a chance to look at a menu. I had the veggie omelet with hash browns and one of their biscuits. My wife and oldest daughter each had a ½ order of biscuits and gravy with my youngest having french toast with hash browns and bacon. Everything served in a timely fashion and quite good. One of the best breakfast spots in Douglas County! One off their biscuits is about the size of 4 normal size biscuits. Most meals are a size that can be split and both would be well fed. There are always left overs to take home and enjoy later. :-)
