Gotts Glasses

I received excellent service at Gotts Glasses, both from Dr. Rhoads (the optometrist who did my eye exam) and from Chris (the optician who helped me pick my frames and lenses, and also fitted my glasses once they arrived at the store).
I arrived early for my appointment with Dr. Rhoads. Because I was «flying blind» without any glasses, I hadn’t realized that there were two sides to Gotts: the exam side and the frames/​lenses side. I was on the wrong side for my exam! Chris gently let me know that my appointment was on the other side.
I went to the other side and didn’t have to wait long for Dr. Rhoads. He was very pleasant, tested my eyes thoroughly, and suggested bifocals (which I agreed to).
Back on the frames/​lenses side, I met up with Chris, and we selected my frames and lenses! I paid half the price and left.
Less than a week later my glasses were ready, and Chris has done an excellent job of fitting them to my face.
I am very happy with my glasses and the service I received. I’ll be going back to Gotts.

After getting the runaround from several other glasses vendors in the area, I’m happy to say we found a place that serves our needs. The optician we worked with was smart, knew her stuff and friendly, while the optometrist there was very much the same, a fresh breath of air compared to what we were dealing with earlier. My wife found the pair of glasses she wanted without getting the hard sales pitch, and we’ll be back for mine soon!
They might be in what looks to be a run-​down location, but don’t be fooled by pretty pretty buildings that have opticians who don’t care in the least: This place is awesome and deserves all the praise it gets.
