Hampton Inn

This is usually a great stay today no hot water and my phone was not working. Yes I will get a refund for my room but that still does not get me the hot shower I need. Hotel is under a remodel.

Clean, Comfortable, Updated & Modern — it could rival more expensive hotels! Also, free breakfast & coffee, which actually tasted good :) all the staff was very friendly, including Olivia at the front desk & the housekeepers & breakfast staff. looked to have nice amenities, too, though we didn’t have time to use them.

Hotel is in the process being renovated. Staff was extremely friendly, room most comfortable and hotel was clean. Breakfast was nice and fresh fruit and oatmeal was a great choice. Coffee bar included natural sugar option that I liked. Very close to downtown within a five minute drive. I preferred this location compared to the other Hampton in town although that was also nice. I will Stay at this location on my next visit to Winchester.

Wonderful smiling check in. Nicely remodeled entryway and breakfast area with neat seating configuration and quality tables and chairs.
The room: narrow entry but very clean and comfortable. But why, oh why, do hotels not have window screens? Also, the refrigerator did not get cold enough.
BUT, the bedding, bathroom and TV all top notch. The king bed in room 424 was SO comfortable.
We will be back.

Stayed here on August 29, 2013. It is a nice, clean hotel with decent modern rooms. Front desk staff were super friendly and beds very comfortable. Breakfast was decent, though i question if the scrambled eggs were made of real eggs. One disappointment was the outdoor pool: it wasn’t clean and had leaves, a dead dragon fly, and other bugs in it. I asked the staff to clean it as I had promised my 6 year old daughter that i’d take her swimming. But they couldn’t find the net and it still wasn’t done a few hours later, or even the next morning. We left somewhat disappointed. Still, good value for the money if u r just passing thru town.

I have a bit of a thing for hotels like Hampton Inns, Best Westerns, etc. I can spend around $ 100 all over the place, and still have a lovely, and more importantly clean spot to rest my head. I stayed at this Hampton last week while I was in town for some professional development classes at Shenendoah University across the street, and found the place wonderful. Free breakfast, free wifi, gym, pool, and coffee, fruit, and cookies all day and evening long. Plus there was a fridge in the room. Really, what could be better? My room was always made up nicely, the sheets and duvets were clean, and the A/​C was super cold, thank goodness, because the Virginia heat was muggy and disgusting. No sense in wasting money at a fancy place when all I was going to do was sleep. Good job, Hampton!
