I must admit, I only stopped in here because it was the closest restaurant to the Clark County courthouse. When we walked in, an older gentleman opened the door for us, he also opened the door for us when we left too. That was just one of the several incredibly nice people there. We noticed that the young lady who was taking our orders, was the same young lady in a photo on the wall. Yep, she was the Maddie. The owner is actually Maddie’s mom, she was the one who poured my tea… I know, I’m aweful for going to Winchester without ordering an Ale8, it’s just not my cup of tea. We started with beer cheese and crackers. I’m not sure whether or not the beer cheese was homemade or not, but it was excellent, with just the right amount of kick, without being too spicy. I finished with a cobb salad, which was excellent too. I noticed the sandwiches being made, as I ordered… it was simple, made with nothing really different than regular sandwich bread. I grabbed a menu on my way out, because the owner mentioned that they deliver catered group orders. Overall, I loved this little family managed gem and would recommend it if you’re in the area during lunch hours, during the weekday. It is closed on Saturday and Sundays.

Really solid little lunch spot on Main Street. Great place to grab a sandwich and a little dessert. Hits the spots without being too much on the stomach or the wallet!

Met a friend here for lunch a while back and just now getting around to fill out the review. It is located a couple doors up from the Courthouse in downtown Winchester. Perfect spot for a quick bite. It is locally owned and ran. The 4 ladies that were in there worker were all related and all so friendly. I think we chatted with them before and after we ate. It has a bit of indoor seating and is quite the relaxing atmosphere. It really is a great spot for a quick bite. The food is outstanding here. On this occasion I ordered a Winchester Country Club sandwich which is turkey and country ham on toast with lettuce, tomato, and mayo with a bag of bbq Gripos. I chased this down with an ice cold Diet Ale 8. Could the meal have been anymore Winchester. I think not. I will go back here for sure. If you are in town or close and have friends in from out of town and looking for something that is very local, then stop in here. These ladies will treat you right. Also get an Ale 8 and drink of choice for most locals.

If you’re looking for a nice lunch just like you would make at home for your family, this is the place. It’s a family café with home made sandwiches, salads and sides. Nothing fancy, but good home made food and 3 nice ladies serving it with smiles. If you’re in Winchester and want a nice lunch in a friendly, relaxing atmosphere, then stop in here.

Great lunch spot in downtown. Friendly staff, good menu with lots of daily specials, quick service & very nice dining area. We had chili, hot dog special, soup, & a salad plate; all were very good. We’ll definitely return!

This week, my colleagues and I were visiting an establishment nearby and used Maddie’s Café on Main for treating meeting participants to lunch. My co-worker made a large order online. The order was delivered timely, it was 100% accurate, and the food was outstanding! He also reported that the website was easy to use and well organized. Additionally, my co-worker advised that he had multiple conversations with the owner and raved about the exemplary customer service, friendliness, and general pleasurable experience that he had in talking with Maddie’s representatives. They even called later in the day to ask for feedback and thank him for his order! I personally ordered a turkey sandwich with lots of special requests. My lunch was exactly as I ordered and it was soooooo good! Others ordered the quiche and the club and I heard all of them highly recommend and compliment both. Maddie’s Café made such a positive impression on us, that I established it here on Unilocal!just to be sure the word gets out.
