Martin’s Food Store

I asked a manager that was checking inventory where an item was located. He pointed the scanner in my face and said isle 7. When I asked where on the isle he said isle 7. He was rude and did not want to help.

Nice large grocery store but a few shortcomings. The prepared food area was especially disappointing. The salad bar had a good variety and fresh food. The hot food was another story. The selection was fairly limited and they don’t offer a «meal deal» like almost every other supermarket where you choose one meat/​main dish with two sides for a reasonable price. They also don’t make fresh panini sandwiches like other Martin’s I have visited. They did offer a few prepared panini’s but they didn’t look too appetizing so I picked up a chicken salad croissant. That was a mistake as it had zero flavor. The beer selection here is fairly decent. The checkout area was like being at Walmart. Only two registers were open and all the people in those lines had full carts. The self-​service area was ok unless you needed assistance or in my case buying beer. The young lady in this area had about three people lined up with issues and looked as though she might pull her hair out any minute.

Martin’s is a massive full service grocery store for a city with a population pushing 30K. I didn’t know this place was open 24 hours a day until I got into town and went shopping for those things that are a hassle to fly with… full sized bottles of shampoo and toothpaste because I’ll be here a week and travel size just won’t do.
I found everything I was looking for except for Luna energy bars.

Overall, a good grocery store with a nice selection, but don’t go if you can’t find your Martin’s card. Our cashier was especially unwilling to even type in our phone number.

I buy my food here.

Great selection & convenient location. A little pricey but it is worth the few extra dollars to not have to go to Walmart.
