Ouchy ouch ouch ouch. I’m not a girl’s girl in the sense that I get manicures, pedicures, massages and such on a regular basis — I believe it’s only fair to equip you with this tidbit of knowledge before you dive into my review. For $ 26, my second pedicure experience looked like this: –pain(digging here, clipping there and me sporting the most pinched and unflattering facial expression known to mankind) All I could think was«and people do this for fun?!» Pain is not beauty. Pain is pain. –My health professional sister brought to my attention the many sanitary precautions that were overlooked throughout the pedicure. The same scrub brush was used on my mother, sister and me. The tub that our feet soaked in was not thoroughly cleaned before being refilled for the next lucky gal. She noted others, I just can’t recall them all. –Down to the paint job. When I’m spending money on a service of this nature, I’d assume that you could do the given service better than I. There were several people waiting their turn, so the entire process was very rushed. As I sit here typing and looking over my computer at my hackjob toenails, I unfortunately see that the speed of the pedicure is evident. Rather than the smooth thick coat I received during my first pedicure(elsewhere), I have clumpy surfaces with even some spots where the paint never made it. Overall, I was bummed and confused. Maybe most pedicures are quite painful and I’m just being a hippy pansy that doesn’t get why people spend so much money for unnecessary torture?
