Great laid back atmosphere. Very helpful when you want otherwise they let you browse their awesome selection of outdoor gear. The prices are high but that is because well. the prices of outdoor gear are high… they do not mark up the price on anything so the price you see there will be the price you will pay on REI. So why not support a great local business if you have the chance!

Stopped by to check out their camping hammocks, and was blown away by the level of service offered here. Gene set a hammock up outside for me so I could check it out… he really went above and beyond! He was quick to point out solutions to my specific needs, even when it meant steering me to a different vendor. The store is filled with cool, quality gear at great prices, and the staff is ready to work with you and get you what you need so you can get out on the trail. This will be my go to place from now on. Thanks, Mountain Trails!

This is the only dedicated outdoor gear store in the area that is worth anything. The staff is chill, knows what they’re talking about and wasn’t trying to push the most expensive item like so many specialty shops do!!! I will definitely be heading back to get any climbing gear I may need. Thanks for the help guys!!!
