Sears

Absolutely HORRIBLE!!! I swore off Sears several years ago because they couldn’t ship an item to me correctly after three attempts. My husband gave me a $ 200 Sears gift card for Christmas several years ago which grew whiskers in my wallet because I simply don’t shop at Sears. When my refrigerator went bad, I decided to break my rule and go to Sears to buy a new fridge. Had to wait four weeks for delivery of a white French door fridge. Today was the delivery day. Problem number one, the deliveryman refused to hook up the water line to the ice maker because it was plastic and needed to be copper for him to do the hook up. That should have been information the sales clerk gave me four weeks ago when I bought the fridge; to allow time for me to get a plumber to run the new line. Problem number two, the fridge was damaged upon arrival. Sears only offered me a 10% concession for my trouble and lost wages, which no way covered my lost wages and aggravation. I then cancelled the order for the replacement fridge. My next three phone calls in an attempt to get my money back were a joke. «A» can’t do it, you have to call «B». «B» can only cancel the order, you have to go back to «A» to get your refund. «A» will now not answer the phone. At this point, I was completely fed up and charged back my credit card. I now had to get the gift card amount back from Sears. This will take two trips to the store as they couldn’t give back the money until the cancelled fridge order posts after close tonight. The ONLY redeeming thing from this fiasco is Sears is willing to give me cash back instead of a worthless gift card. I will never, ever break my boycott of Sears again. Save yourself the aggravation… do not shop at Sears.

Horrible. An antiquated turn of the century catalog store that has not been able to keep up with the times. You go through the tedious purchase process only to find your $ 400 plus item is not in stock and will require that you return a few days later to pick it up. When it breaks, they improperly enter your phone number so they have no way to tell you when your item has been repaired. Automated phone system tries the patience of Jesus, Mohammed, and Buddah. Go elsewhere!

Yay! Sears! A solid store to buy the stuff I need. The garden department staff were very helpful while I was buying an edge trimmer. The tools department were also helpful when I was buying some new drivers. The men’s clothing department left me along after asking which I appreciate. Yeap, can’t complain about Sears, solid stuff, fair prices, nice folks.
