This business is a joke. They actually take your door panels off to tint your window which I have never seen before in 20+ vehicles being tinted. When doing so, they have no idea how to put the door back together. They didn’t connect my door correctly and my memory seats were not working. Brand new car with less than 200 miles on it. The guy said he would come to my house today to make it right. Of curse I never heard from him again. Mysteriously I had a blown speaker in the same door the same day they tinted the car. I would never let them touch another vehicle of mine even if it was free! Beware. They are not knowledgeable and they are not professional.

First the guy rents out his place from Cap America. Someone from Cap America called and he showed up 15 minutes later. He told me that while he does the tinting I can go and get something eat or come back. I went to Burger King ate came back job was done. I had the dark tint with 35% since I live in WV. I also had a brow put on too. I have a Subaru Crosstrek. The only caveat is he takes only checks or cash, so no big deal walked over to the bank ATM and got him the money. Oh, there was a folding chair to sit in while waiting on the Cap America side.

So I would think twice before using these guys for tinting your windows. I called and requested a quote to tint my 2012VW Jetta, I believe I was speaking to the owner, he quoted me $ 220 for the four doors and rear window. I made an appointment. I show up for my appointment and the two guys working in the shop had no record of my appointment but they said they could do it anyway. They wrote my info on a glass window with a marker and told me it would be 2 – 3 hours and asked if I would be waiting for it or if I would be coming back. Since there is nothing that even resembles a waiting area(not even a plastic lawn chair), I told them I would be walking around town and would return. They then asked me if I was quoted a price, I told them $ 220 to which they replied, «Oh, VW’s are usually $ 240… but since he quoted you $ 220, I guess we can do it for that price». I left on foot and returned 2.5 hours later to find that there was no one at the shop. They returned a few minutes later with lunch in hand and informed me they had problems finishing other vehicles earlier that day and hadn’t started my car yet. They had my phone number and knew I was waiting around town but didn’t feel the need to inform me it was going to be longer than expected. So I went to have lunch. I returned an hour and a half later and they were almost finished with my car, about 30 minutes later they were finished, so I was quoted 2 – 3 hours but it took 4.5 hours. I was in a bit of a hurry at this point as I had to go to work myself that evening so I gave the car a quick glance, the windows all looked good so I needed to leave. I paid in cash, they asked if I needed a receipt, I said yes, because they warranty their work, but if there was something wrong I would have no proof I had my car tinted there. I left, only to hear a rattle every time I turned a corner, something in my rear door. I called and spoke to the owner again I believe and he told me to bring it by and they would fix it. I live about 30 minutes away from the shop and I know enough about cars to take the door apart and fix it myself, certainly not worth my time to bring it back and wait for them. The next day, I decided to inspect the situation, when I got in the back seat, I was very surprised to find muddy foot prints on the rear driver side door, back of the drivers seat and also on the back of the center console. Also to my surprise and disappointment I found a light scratch in the center of my leather seats. If you own leather seats, you know that scratches don’t come out. I cleaned and armor all’ed the back of the car, luckily the scratch wasn’t that deep and its only faintly visible now. Now it was time to take apart the rear door, there are 5 screws you need to remove in order to take off the door panel, again to my surprise I only needed to remove 4 screws as the last one was missing, as you may have guessed, it was in the door, rolling around and rattling as I drove. I guess when they put it back together they just assumed they lost that screw and I wouldn’t notice it was missing. All in all it was a very unprofessional and disappointing experience. The tint turned out great, I will give credit where it is due but I will definitely be bringing my other vehicles to a different shop to get them tinted and would not recommend Sun Pro to others.
