Embarrassing confession of a former tom-​boy: I have never had my nails done (professionally) until yesterday. Luckily, my boyfriend’s mom is excellent and treated me to a mani/​pedi. I absolutely loved the experience!
They sit you in a massage chair as they wash, trim, massage, lotion, clip, and paint your toenails. It was glorious. Very clean and friendly place too! My manicure was also very delightful. They put my hands in a little hand-​warmer with some lotion before they started.
Sure, this could all be something that happens at all nail salons, but as my first experience, it was worth the $ 30 price-​tag. I have now discovered a new way to treat myself!
