Everything is overly sweet and too salty. «Special» brisket was very tough.

Great flavor on the pulled pork sandwiches. Nice size. The fried mushrooms were delicious. The Brunswick Stew was good but not quite the flavor I was looking for. It did go well with the pork sandwiches.

So I’m trying to do low carb thing so what better way to stay low carb then order some barbecue.
Add the chopped pork plate and no sides. I have to say it was outstanding. Last time I was here I had the chicken which was good but the pork is where this place really shines. They even put in a bunch of burnt ends which is awesome I love me some burnt ends. At most places you gotta pay extra for that.
Next time I’m in Winder I’ll be stopping by here to get me some more awesome BBQ. Oh yeah one of my co-​workers told me that this place is ranked like fourth in the state who knew?

Was in Winder on business and this place was recommended by my client. Had the pork plate with fried okra and slaw. It was wonderful. The meat was tender. Had it with a sweet spicy sauce that was very flavorable. The atmosphere was very welcoming. Highly recommend it.

Tried it out again today after a long time. Damn, it’s good! The pulled pork is delicious. Brunswick stew is just awesome. Come and try it out.

Really good barbecue! The potatoe salad was different but yummy and the baked beans were yummy also. And the ribs we got definitely fell off the bone. I would recommend this place!

We’ve been to GA many times in the past 10 years and never tried southern BBQ. Wanted to find a small hometown restaurant with good food. Happened upon this little gem and we were not disappointed! Our spur of the moment party of 20 was a big suprise for the staff who was more than accommodating. Service was amazing. Food was even better! We had an order of almost everything on the menu and EVERYTHING was delish! Will definitely be back for more!!!

Great BBQ. Brunswick stew is the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried a lot. Cole slaw, sauces, bread, everything is good. This is one of the best BBQ places in North Georgia.

Delicious & quick. Had the pulled pork sandwich plate with fries and baked beans. Everything was delicious, but the beans were AMAZING! Great smokey flavor. Wait staff was attentive and fast. Highly recommend.

Great bbq! Great fried okra, sweet tea, garlic bread and most important the best server in the land, Jessica! Jessica was friendly and helpful and very understanding of our situation with my mother in law who has Alzheimers and is having a bad day. Jessica went out of her way to make us feel welcome and made sure our food came out in a timely manner and was nice and warm! I hope I get Jessica next time I’m in! She’s one of a kind! All in all a GREAT EXPERIENCE!

I had seen the fb page ranking this as #4 bbq place in Ga so I made it a point to try it since it was less than 30 minutes from me. My wife and I went for lunch on a Saturday and wanted to try a little bit of everything. We got the nachos as starters and they were a huge serving. There was a nice helping of pork on these but the cheese was lacking. The slaw also ruined it for me. I should have asked what the toppings were because there wasn’t a description on the menu. We both kinda picked over it. We shared a 2 meat combo with 2 sides. The ribs and pulled pork were our choices. The ribs were average but juicy. The pulled pork was moist but lacked seasoning. Both really could have used seasoning. We experimented with all the sauces but really couldn’t get into any of them. If I had to pick I would say go with Sassy. The sides were potato salad and baked beans. We both raved over the mayo based potato salad but the baked beans were just meh. We also tried 6 butter dry rub wings. These were cooked perfect and had a good flavor to them but we’re almost to salty to enjoy. After a couple I was done. I know every bbq place can be a hit or miss on any given day but I wouldn’t be against giving them another shot. The service was very friendly and helpful. I just wish we would have been wowed.

Tried the pulled pork plate today. It was smoked just the way I like it. Very good flavor and large portion. The coleslaw and frenchfries were very good. Great place!

Great people and delicious food! Tried the hillybilly nachos and taco plate. Some of the best pulled pork I have ever tasted! All the other toppings were great too. We experimented with all the different sauces also.

I eat here for lunch quiet often, I’ve always gotten good food. Great BBQ for this area.

This place was quite a bit larger on the inside than it looks from the outside. I noticed that they had only 1 server for the entire restaurant while I was there. Luckily, I was there before about 6 other tables stumbled in as my service was ok whereas theirs was pretty bad. The one server they had was very nice and was as attentive as she was capable of being but she was overwhelmed. The restaurant was not even half full but she probably had 10 different parties to take care of. So the service, although ok for me, was suspect for others.
On to the food. I ordered the pulled pork plate which comes with 2 sides. I chose fries and brunswick stew. First, the positives. The portion sizes of the pulled pork and the fries were HUGE. The pulled pork was very moist but did not have an abundance of flavor. They offer 4 different sauces (Sweet, Sassy (Vinegar based), Spicy and Sissy. None of the sauces had really good flavor that jumped out at me. I usually love vinegar based sauces, but at this place, not so much. I ended up mixing some spicy, sissy and sweet and found the concoction to be ok but not great.
The fries, although large and abundant, were not that great. I had to add salt which is something I rarely do. The Brunswick stew was probably the worst Brunswick stew I have ever tasted. It was very sweet which is a no no and it was very spicy as well. I know that sounds like a strange combination but that is the way it was. I also asked for crackers to go along with the soup figuring they would surely carry saltine crackers. They brought those lame salad cracker wafers (club crackers) that are sweet and those just do not work for a stew or soup. Tighten up folks… how you gonna be a bbq joint and not have saltines?
All in all, I give them 2.5 stars in reality but I went with 3 due to the HUGE portion of pulled pork they gave. It had to haven been nearly ½ pound. I notice they charge 11.50 now for a pound of pulled pork so I think the pulled pork plate is a really good price considering how much you get. Unfortunately, nothing really popped for me. I am sure that I will try it again at some point in the future but it was just ok.

Pretty good place where I thought it wouldnt be. prices are super reasonable. With everything else around it just being chains, if you’re in this city, do yourself a favor and try this place out.
I got the poboy combo, best deal with all the sides you can get. Free refills on drink. I had a bbq meal for under 10 bucks.
