Salon Christophe – Color Experts

After booking an appointment for cut and color, I was hoping for a good salon despite the poor reviews on Unilocal.I arrived 15 minutes early, looked around, the 3 – 4 stylists didn’t appear too busy and even though two of them looked at me, I barely got a «hello». There was also an odd smell of fried something, it could’ve been hair for all I know. After the rudeness, lateness and odd smell I decided to leave. About 25 minutes later, someone called and asked if I forgot about my appt., I told her what happened and she said she must have been in the bathroom?! No thank you.

Two words: Color experts! Salon Christophe does the most amazing hair color. I’ve gotten highlights, ombré and all over color here and have been more than pleased every time. Ileana (Jr.) gives amazing haircuts as well. She listens to what you want and also gives her professional suggestions.
Walking into the salon, you can’t help but love the modern feel. It is meticulously clean and organized. Salon Christophe plays the best music too– relaxing, but upbeat and positive. The staff is very warm and welcoming. They always make their clients feel welcomed and comfortable. I highly recommend them for all of your hair needs!
Bonus: Ileana (Jr.) gives the best neck and scalp massage when you get your hair washed!

Do not like the price and atmosphere.

DO NOT GO HERE! I came here over xmas break from out of town for a gloss and blow out… the most simple procedure which takes me only an hour anywhere else I have been. I was in the salon for 3 hours! After I finished the blow out I put my hands through my hair and chunks of it began to fall out and I noticed they were singed together at the roots. MY HAIR WAS BURNT OFF OF MY HEAD! LUPITA was my stylist and applied so much heat to my hair that it fell off. I was in tears and instead of offering to help or make me feel better they tried to blame me and tell me my hair was in bad condition, I have extremely healthy hair. I am mortified by the horrible customer service as well as the amount of hair I lost. You couldn’t pay me to go back to this place and I hope to warn other girls incase something like this happens to them, not to mention for the price they charge I could have gone to a 5 star salon like Prive not to far away… now I know for next time. Horrible people, and horrible salon.

I started seeing Jim at Salon Christophe at the beginning of 2014. I absolutely LOVED him. He knows how to color hair — and understands the needs of his clients. When he called and told me he was moving salons, I wasn’t disappointed and planned to follow him to his new salon. However, I lost the paper where I wrote down the salon name.
I went in today to Salon Christophe to see where he went, as I need a funky coloring before I move cross country. The owner refused to tell me, claiming she didn’t know where he moved. I specifically remember Jim telling me that he told the owner where he was moving to, but the owner continued to deny it. When I asked her if any of the other stylists would know, she claimed all of her stylists are new (Jim only left maybe 5 months ago). I was appalled to see the owner would lie to my face like that. Also, the fact that she’s had to hire ALL new stylists in the past 5 months also says something about the way she runs her business. It gave me a better reason as to why Jim also left. I would understand a tad bit more if she was trying to get me to try a new stylist at her salon, as it would be a business tactic on her part, however she didn’t try to get me to stay. She refused to tell me out of pure bitterness towards Jim, and I feel that is no fair way to treat a client or to run a business.
After leaving, I remembered that an establishment in the same plaza was the one to recommend me to Jim in the first place. I went in and the lady was able to tell me his new salon, and gave me the contact info for him. When I explained that I tried asking the Salon where he went, she laughed and said «Yeah she [the owner] won’t tell you.» I guess I’m not the first to run into problems with the owner.
I highly recommend Jim to anyone looking for a great coloring. Salon Christophe is shady and slowly going under. If you’re looking for him, he’s now at Cavallo Salon off Turkey Lake Rd. PLEASE don’t encourage this woman’s shady business tactics any longer — find somewhere else.

I am a regular here because I need professional blowouts — my natural hair is dry, curly and frizzy which does not translate well on camera or on stage when I am speaking.
I love the staff here because I can come in last minute as a walk-​in when I get a last minute call for an appearance. Between the blowout and products they use my hair looks great for 3 – 5 days. They go out of their way to come in early morning or open the salon on Sunday when I had big appearances. I am grateful for their cooperation, most salons around this area would not do this (I asked)
I scheduled a conditioning treatment today with their new Awapuhi line and my hair feels amazing.

I moved to Windermere last June and I tried a few other places, then a friend of mine told me about Ileana at Salon Christophe. I’m so glad I took her advise and made an appointment. First of all I love décor and they have a very nice color station for you to sit at. It was hard for me to change after going to same person for 8 years, but I have to tell you I highly recommend this salon. She listens to your wants and goes above and beyond to make you happy. I left there the other day feeling so beautiful, and that was during the rain storm. She walked to my car with an umbrella. I have been going there for sometime now, I highly recommend that you check this salon out !! Bonnie P

Best place in the windermere area to get your hair done. Super friendly staff and a very chic salon. Illena listened to my needs and delivered amazing results. Left feeling like a million bucks! :]

Update — make sure you take the picture of what you want on your follow up visit. I returned about 6 weeks after my first awesome cut for a slight trim to keep the shape. I don’t think she remembered the first cut and I ended up with a cut way too short for my taste. I decided to go back a few weeks later just for highlights. Again, I didn’t have a picture of what I wanted and ended up with way too much volume of highlights than what I wanted. Previously I’ve highlighted my hair myself using a kit from Sally’s and I can say that I could tell there was definitely a difference in the feel of my hair. Her quality product did not leave my hair feeling dry like the home kit. Overall I’d say this is still a great salon and Ileana is a great stylist. As soon as I have a picture of the cut AND color that I want I will go back.
In all fairness I’m sure if I had gone back to her after the highlighting I’m sure she would have worked with me but I decided to try a few other places instead. I plan to go back in about 6 to 8 weeks so I’ll update then.

Salon Christophe is awesome. The décor is beautiful and very modern. Illeana and her staff are true professionals. My cut and color are always top-​notch and the end result always far surpasses my expectations. Whether you want something wild or mild, Illeana and her crew can accommodate any style. Like the previous reviewer stated, I bring in a photo and I walk out with a similar style, but even better since it is fine-​tuned to my face shape and coloration. I highly recommend checking out the salon.
