Mac of All Trades

We hired Bill to work on our deck and make it more secure. It was never bolted to the house when it was built and it started shifting away from the house and becoming unstable.
Before starting the job he came to the house and did a thorough look-​over of the deck and took notes. The next day I had another contractor come by to give me a second estimate for comparison. They barely looked at it, didn’t mention all the things that Bill pointed out, told me they couldn’t do it until 3 weeks later, then said it would cost twice as much as Bill’s quote. Needless to say, we went with Bill.
He started the job quickly and wrapped it up even quicker. When he was done he even quoted us on painting the entire deck, which we took him up on because painting a deck is a major pain in the ass.
He completed the painting in about 2 weeks (due to weather and holidays) and it came out great. The deck required 3 coats due to the dark stain that was originally on it, but Bill didn’t change the cost of the job or complain.
I’ll call him again if we have another big project that we need a hand with. He’s a good dude.

We hired Bill to build a separate entrance for our in-​law apartment in Windham. He worked in the rain, the freezing cold, and all manner of conditions to get the job done, and everything he put together was sturdy and well built. He is a consummate professional, extremely honest, and besides being great at his job he is just an all around good guy. Regarding honest — we gave him the money to buy the supplies he needed, and when he didn’t need all of them, he brought back what he didn’t use to the store and gave us a refund. I don’t know another handyman that does that. He did a bunch of extra work without charging us… I just don’t know what else to tell you but that this is the guy to hire. He will do everything in his power to make you happy!

We hired Bill as a handyman/​general contractor in our home to fix a few things and put together products that were just delivered. The word handyman is a understatement. He showed up on time and was prepared with every tool he needed. He was able to solve issues of things broken without coasting us a ton of money to replace items entirely. I continued to give him more things to fix or put together and he never complained. Bill appears to be a jack of all trades and we are looking forward to hiring him again to finish our attic.
