Windham Theatre

My second home is within walking distance to this spot, yet I just visited it for the first time this past weekend! Saw Alvin & the Chipmunks in the most quaint, adorable, and clean theater I’ve been in. Actually sat in a semi-​circle booth, with a table for snacks in front of us! Truly unique in a movie theater experience! So reasonable both in ticket price and in concession items! The building houses quite the abundance of mini-​entertainment, and it’s truly a country feeling sweet spot! (Bathrooms were super clean, which is always a great bonus!)

Took my kids to the movies last night they really enjoyed it. I like that they had the subway and carvel and also I had candy and popcorn. The staff was very friendly and love that they had tables to sit at while you watched the movie. This is my new movie spot.

We had a spur-​of-​the-​moment inspiration to try and see Planet of the Apes. We had never been to this theater and when we got into a reception zone we saw on the internet, that the showing was in less than half an hour. We were starving so were hoping that was enough time to buy tickes before it got sold out, get a slice of pizza somewhere, and come back for the movie. When we finally figure out where the entrance to the theater was, they were taking a pizza out of an oven behind the counter… and when we went to grab a table by the subway, they said they had tables inside. SCORE! I’ve always wanted to try a dine-​in move theater!
The fresh pizza was SO GOOD that we went back and bought the last 3 of the pizza we bought 5 slices from. It was definitely better when it came out fresh (which is said for all pizza) and I could have asked them to leave it in the oven a little longer but we were just so hungry. LOL. THe pizza was so good just then and it SO HIT THE SPOT.
We’d all come back. We had a table front-​and-​center and the movie was great. What an intersting configuration there — I think next time I’ll bring a bag of laundry and play mini golf and see a movie while they do my laundry. We also won a stuffed animal from the crane game… they also have a pool table and other video games…

Just love this theater! When I’m not in the city and upstate in the Catskills I try to catch a movie that I want to see time permitting. They have a subway inside there, a ice cream bar, and they make pizza too! Out back they even have a put-​put golf course! The establishment is very clean, and the family that runs it is always friendly.

We wanted to see a movie after a day of skiing and were glad to see that there was a movie theater in town. It’s definitely a unique little place. It’s independently owned. The theater building also houses an arcade, a laundromat, a Subway and a Carvel. Very interesting.
They have three movie theaters with about three showings of each on weekend days. We saw Oz.
The theater had some tables in the front. Mostly they were taken by groups of people with kids that also ordered pizza (yes you can also order a pie!). Not a ton of seats but you don’t really need them for the small town.
The popcorn was yummy and fresh. The Carvel was also good (standard Carvel stuff).
It’s definitely another thing to do while in Windham for the weekend.

This movie theater is okay. The seats are small, and they lean back. They have about 3 screens but they play recent movies that come out, unlike hunter movie theater. Privately owned. Carvel and Subway are attached to the theater and they serve typical movie snacks, along with pizza.
