Agree with fellow Unilocalers that the chocolate chip cookies are great. Usually, when they’re thin like these, they’re not great, but Otterbein’s definitely shatter that preconception.
Next time I’m in B-​more or at a Wegman’s I’ll pick some more up!

I believe Otterbein’s has one of the best chocolate cookies around — they are thin, crispy, has that nice caramelized/​sheen on the surface, and has the right amount of chocolate chips per bite — it is a perfect way to fill that chocolate chip craving! These tasty bags of chocolate chip cookies can be found at Wegman’s!

(12/​10/​2013) Great cookies from a local bakery. Tried the sugar (weird snowman? blobs), were crispy, then chewy, not too sweet, hint of nutmeg; and chocolate chip, very thin and brittle crisp, carmelized brown sugar nuttiness, not many chips (semi-​sweet chocolate) per cookie.

I haven’t been on Unilocal in over a year but one bite of that chocolate chip cookie and I ran to my computer to share my pure JOY. Wow. I bought a bag of chocolate chip and one of sugar at Wegman’s yesterday. MILK!!!

Just a note; my order of cookies arrived pretty much shattered. The box had obviously been dropped, despite the «fragile» stickers. I emailed Otterbein’s to let them know that their shipper didn’t do much of a handling job. I got an apology and a new shipment of cookies. It’s all about the customer service, folks!

I just tried Otterbein’s cookies for the first time today. OMG! They are simply amazing! They taste like home made. The chocolate chip cookie is salty and sweet and thin and crispy. Even if you don’t normally like crispy cookies, you’ll like these, because they taste so fresh and home made!

Love, love, love Otterbein’s Sugar Cookies. While they now focus on retail, you can pick up large and small bags of their goodies for far less than you would pay at Giant. The owner Mark couldn’t be nicer.
What makes these cookies different? They are thin and crispy like a cracker. And I prefer soft cookies, but can put down an entire bag of these in under two hours.
As you pull up to the office, the air is sweetly scented with cookies. So glad I don’t have to work in that office park!
