As dollar stores go, this one is pretty nice. It’s next to Target in the big plaza off of the Kennedy Drive I-91 exit. First of all, it didn’t have that awful insecticide smell that seems to befoul so many of its brethren out there. The store was clean, uncluttered, well lit, and well stocked with the usual inexpensive toys/party favors, stationary department, groceries, etc. I wanted some cheap amusement things to put out for my students, and I picked up three Rubik’s Cube knockoffs and three interlocking wood puzzles. I also picked up some things for us — a bag of Cinammon Raisin Bagel Chips, some shampoos, a jar of salsa, a 2013 pocket calendar and some gold foil stars(also for class). Everything was a dollar! Two bags of stuff for $ 13 !!
