We had a great time this weekend with the Braeburn dog sled tour out of the Great River Outfitters. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The tour was about an hour and ran through the path of life behind River Outfitters. This is a great way to try out dogsledding. My wife started out sitting in the sled and I was on the back behind the musher. About half way though you swap positions.

This is the best place to have a family reunion. This will be our 5th year camping out with all of your family and friends. It is a weekend we all look forward to every year. The owners are great and help you out any way they can. One of the BEST parts is that Harpoon Brewery is only 50 feet away for the camping area and they have a full restaurant with great beer and food. If you have time you should take a tour of the brewery.

We took a self-​guided kayak trip with Great River Outfitters on our last trip to Windsor VT. Craig and his staff were very welcoming when we arrived and eager to share information about the river, area, and his facilities. The van trip to the put in site was short and the river is calm and good for all ages and skill levels. All equipment was well maintained. The surprise of the trip is when we arrived at the end point you get to walk through the Path of Life. This is a unique «garden» full of sculptures that represent your journey through life from birth to death. I think it would be interesting for all ages. It was very peaceful and interesting, so even if you don’t take a river excursion, you should stop by and tour the Path of Life.

I’m extremely disappointed with this company. Right now I’m sitting in the Harpoon Brewery next door after I showed up at this outfit that was supposed to open at noon and 3:23 hours later hasn’t. I left them voicemail and even called the owner’s cell only to find out he left it at home and he is nowhere to be found. I wasted a beautiful sunny VT day inside instead of snowshoeing because they were not open when supposed to be. I certainly won’t be giving them my business in the future if they don’t shape up.
On the plus side, I highly recommend the Silo distillery, the Sustainable Farmer and Harpoon Brewery sharing the same parking lot with this outfit

Our family and friends looks forward each year to a new adventure at Great River Outfitters. The dog sledding, horse drawn sleigh ride and teepee adventures have been incredible. The staff goes above and beyond to make every experience something special. I would recommend this venue to everyone who want a memorable family outing. Thank you! See you soon.

Dogsledding with Braeburn Siberians out of Great River is a must do with or without children if you are in Vermont or New Hampshire this winter! My grandkids can’t wait for the snow to fly so they can go again.
In the summer months the rafting and tubing are great! All my relatives ages 10 and up love going on these adventures.

We didn’t get to do any water activities just explore the garden of life. It is a beautiful maintained sculpture garden and is a must see if you are in the area,.

Had a great day with these guys floating down a beautiful stretch of the Connecticut. Would definitely recommend them. They are right on the river and have free shuttle service. Also, next to Harpoon brewery so good place for lunch after the float.
