I’ve been here twice. The selection is so large that with my limited gardening experience it was a bit overwhelming. However, after talking to the guys that work there and seeing the very very low prices I easily got over my hesitancy and bought a ton of great plants for a new garden.
You have to make a reservation or attend one of their Plant Sale Saturdays. But other than this it’s terrific for the buyer and it’s also a great cause. Highly recommend.

AMAZING DEALS ON PLANTS, I filled my car and re-​did both my front & back yards! Located next to the North County Detention Facility near the Airport, you’ll find rows of carefully potted trees, shrubs, perennials, bulbs, vines, and food crops! The plants are part of the rehabilitation component of the Jail’s vocational program that «allows inmate volunteers to help propagate and preserve the environment while they are paying off their debt to society.»
You’ll find over 200 varieties of plants from seedlings to large 24″ box trees. Check the website for a complete list, including California natives and drought-​resistant plants. Prices are listed there, too! (the prices really are amazing).
YOU MUST MAKE AN APPT TO VISIT THE FACILITY. Hours vary but are generally mornings, during the week. Be sure to read the instructions on the website & make an appointment before your visit.
Note: the address says Windsor but its next to the Santa Rosa Airport.
