Good price for the service provided and quick turnaround time. I liked the fast turnaround and a good explanation of what was wrong with my equipment. Also, the charge per hour is a fair charge

I have been a PC Development customer from the beginning. Their customer service is outstanding. They are friendly and knowledgeable and explain everything to me so even I, a computer technotard, can understand. They always call with updates when my computer is in the shop. Service is fast and reliable. I have recommended PC Development to many friends and family members.

I had a portable Hard Drive that died with a copy of a back up that I wanted. Came in and spoke with Stan at PC Development Group who checked it out, ran diagnostics and gave me my options for recovery. Turns out that even stripping the exterior and trying to mirror it to a new drive would probably fail. However, when I explained how the back up was created, Stan was able to show me that the copy I needed was still available in the place it was originally created! I always get so frustrated when I go into the big box stores like Best Buy to try and get some help. You always have to wait around, then the person you talk to doesn’t know anything, you wait for the ‘expert’ to become available only to have them tell you to buy something new. What is so great about local places like PC Development Group is that you get great service, from real experts, and no sales baloney. When my daughter is ready for her first computer, this is where I plan on going. My experience here was excellent.

I came here to replace a laptop ac adapter recently. I brought the cord with me so they could match the part number. When I handed it to the guy he asked me what kind of computer it was, even though it read in big bold letters on the side of it TOSHIBA!!! He told me it was going to cost $ 60; That’s not a typo, $ 60 for a cord. Then he asked me to bring the laptop in so he could make sure it fit. I have no idea why he couldn’t use the cord to check if the one he was selling me was compatible, especially because it only took me five seconds to hop online and find all the info about it that I needed. The part number was on the adapter. If he was selling me Toshiba adapter I have to wonder why it needed to be checked. Does Toshiba sell replacement parts that don’t fit their computers? If it wasn’t a Toshiba part why was it priced like a name brand part? Generic parts should move for generic prices, especially if it’s so much so that it may not actually fit the computer it’s advertised for. On top of all that, the only reason I went down there was to support a local biz, to help the little guy. After resigning myself to helping some giant online warehouse I found many non name brand ones for around $ 10!!! Ouch. That’s an 1100% markup for those math deficient. So much for helping the little guy. I’d rather give my cash to someone who isn’t trying to exploit my needs. Claiming that they only carry«quality parts» to justify crazy prices here is obscene. If the cheap cord even lasts a year, which it will probably last even longer, I could buy a new one once a year for a half a decade and still have saved money by the time my laptop was woefully out of date. I would go somewhere else because you are going to spend way more than you should here on parts that are dubiously priced and marketed.
