This is a hidden gem of a burger place. It is family owned and always neat and tidy. I am always greeted in a friendly manner and the food is consistent. Exactly what you want when looking for a classic cheeseburger. They also have a variety of other choices such as gyros, deli sandwiches, and soft serve ice cream. Yum. I am a big fan of a tasty, quick, reasonably priced lunch option and Thumbs Up Burger fits the bill!

Discovered this place by accident and I am so glad I did! One of the best burgers I have ever had! My family and I go here at least twice a month! The food is really delicious and the people working there are very personable! Definitely give it a try!

Tasty, juicy burger with cheese, bacon, mushrooms, and avocado. Fries were cooked perfectly. The gyros smelled wonderful, though I opted for a burger-​next time.

I love egos. But usually a veggie burrito lacks flavor. Not here! This is without a doubt the very best, most delicious veggie burrito I’ve ever had in my entire life! Fresh scrambled eggs, toasty hash browns grilled onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, fresh avocado, cheese and fresh pick de gallo salsa. It is loaded with flavor.
Their waffles are Belgium style — huge, fluffy and delicious! They are known for their outstanding burgers, but don’t miss their breakfast. Perfect way to start our Saturday!

Prices weren’t bad, and service was fine, but going here for a breakfast burrito lead to the entire rest of the day spent with severe cramps and vomiting.
Definitely not going to come back to risk food poisoning again over a simple burrito. Terrible first impression.

It’s been a year since my last review, so I decided to return and hoped things had improved. Oops. Afraid not. My burger still had a noticeable metallic, chemical taste. Still can’t recommend the place.

We were in town for a couple of days, and the last night we were looking for burgers & brew. Thumbs Up had good reviews and was close. We’re glad we went. Food is great, beverages are numerous, and personnel are friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely try the breakfast next time we are there!

Stale buns, overcooked salmon, incorrect orders, a sandwich that looks like it was dropped and rude wait staff. Very slow service during early lunch. My three friends and I will never go back!!!

We found this place on Unilocal on our way home from Mendocino. We wanted something quick. We all got burgers and they were great. Then, we saw the lady next to us who order a sandwich and it looked awesome. I will stop in here again and next time I’ll order a sandwich. Also, the people working here were nice.

last burger joint you will need to eat at.
This is a classic burger joint with today’s appetite. They have a variety of fun stuff to top your burger your way, and the classics if you like keeping it basic. They have shakes and delicious malts! Sweet potato fries my favorite! I am happy they have «new and improved» sides and all the goodies to add on top! great place for family breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Used to live in Windsor, now I will gladly drive an hour for the burger. One burger is about 2 days worth of food itself, and then there’s fries too! Would like to see them do seasoning on the fries because I always end up taking half the meal home. The owners are always in the restaurant and some of the nicest people your going to get at a fast food restaurant. Eat outside or take it home, the restaurant is small and usually playing CNN but always smells amazing! Never been disappointed on my 20+ visits!

I always forget about this place, because it’s tucked behind El Farolito and not near any other restaurants. We usually get take out because it’s got next to no atmosphere, but they have a lot of burger selections on the menu and every one I’ve tried has been really great! The banana milkshake is good too :) definitely the best takeout burger place in town

Really did not enjoy my burger and it was the one that the owner recommended. The bun was super starchy and the patty way too thick. My whole family described their food as adequate… not a good word.
We did enjoy the magazines they had to read while you wait for your food. The owner was also super nice!

Not thrilled I have to give any stars. Came here hopeful since it is close to home and had 4 out of 5 stars overall. Ordered take out but I’m not sure the guy actually took my order since I asked for pickles only and instead got everything. Would have understood if it was just a mistake but how did he get the other burger completely wrong also? The burger patty itself was dry and disappointing. I don’t think I can ever go back here again and I still can’t understand how they have 4 stars!!!

We arrived at about 845pm and were told that we would have to eat outside or take out because they closed at 9pm. I thought hey no problem that’s fair and I was happy that we were able to be served considering how close we came to closing.
They had a lot of choices but I ended up going with the jaguar burger 1⁄3 pounder with bacon, cheese, bbq sauce and onion rings. We also ordered the turkey sandwich and a chili.
The burger tasted very good, I liked the bbq sauce they had used. My wife’s sandwich was generously filled with turkey and the side fries were the way I liked them, not to thin and not too crispy.
Overall the food was good.

We were on our way up to Humboldt County and pulled over in Windsor for dinner. Our friend is in love with McDonalds but not us — so we were looking for a local place to grab a quick bite. Since it was the day before Independence Day not a lot was still open (guess everyone was closing early to catch the fireworks that night). Luckily for us Thumbs Up Burger decided to stay open.
The burgers here are basic but well done — and are really great value. For $ 5.99 you get a quarter lb burger with fries and a soda. Since it was close to closing time they let me get the slightly smaller kids burger combo instead for $ 4.99. Burgers were nice and juicy.
People here are super friendly. Definitely a good stop for a road trip.
