A Windsor classic! I’ve been ordering pizza from here for years! Inside the restaurant, they have pictures of what they area used to look like over a hundred years ago. The pizza here is very classic tasting. Square cut pizza with delicious toppings. I love the sausage pizza here because the sausage pieces are so big and delicious.

I go to Wilson’s every time I’m in Connecticut and I have for years. The only thing that is missing from this place is the ability to use my debit/credit card. The pizza is consistently good, but every time I’m in town I forget that they don’t accept cards. This time, the owner took $ 2 off the price of my pie because I had to use their ATM in order to pay for my order, and the ATM charges $ 2. Good customer service, but it seems unnecessary since everyone should be accepting cards at this point in human history. As always, though, the pie was fantastic. Having to use cash could never prevent me from going to Wilson’s!

It may have just been an off day for them, because I’ve been back since and had great pizza. Can’t get 5 stars until they start accepting cards. What decade are we in again???

Fantastic pizza and salads. Have tried most items on the menu and all are delicious and portions are plentiful. Say hi to Pete!

One of the Windsor staples. If you live anywhere close to Windsor you’ve had or been raised on Wilson pizza. Building is in an old mcdonalds so they flipped the arches upside down on the outside to make them was(clever). Good food, old school atmosphere, must try.

Tasted cheap and greasy, and not in a good way. Won’t be returning

Been coming here for years. Food is good. Staff is friendly. Always somebody waiting for take out. I like to order a pepperoni pizza, well done, cut like a pie. Chewy crust, not too much sauce. Always consistently good.

Just ate here and the pizza is like someone tried to make a classy microwave pizza with broccoli. I feel as sick as I knew I would.

Best pizza around these parts! I haven’t lived in CT in 10 years and every time I come home I make sure to stop in and grab a pie at Wilsons. Highly recommend you so the same.

Best pizza in the state. I remember the old building from the 80’s before the fire. I recommend the sausage grinder. I guarantee you will not finish it in one sitting. :-)

Part of my childhood — back from the days before the old place burned down and this was the only McD’s in Windsor… I suppose I love it so much since this is what defined pizza in my youth. Everything else is a copy. Really good chicken parm grinder.

Fast and consistent with good food. The chicken parm sub is my favorite. Pizza is a bit salty. Great for takeout, not so great for dining in.

Everything I have ever had here is phenomenal. I typically go with the cold cut combo for lunch when I’m working. The pizzas are amazing as well. The staff is very courteous, they are fast to get to you and get your order in. All in all, this is how it should be. If you haven’t tried this place, you absolutely need to, you will not regret it.

Great pizza joint that ALWAYS has a steady stream of clientele. The Palace was converted from a McD’s to Wilson’s …and they cleverly spun the decorative«M’s» ti «W’s». Nice recycling! The food is addictive. The Greek salad is big enough to split by at least 3 – 4 people. The pizza is amazing. Seriously. The crust is even delicious. They even offer eggplant and basil, among other ingredients. A medium serves at least 3 – 4 hungry folk. No actual designated access parking, but plenty of parking is available, with zero point access to building. Interior access, including toilet room access, is spot on — love this place!!!

Pleasantly surprised: I’ve been searching for great(I’ll settle for good at this point) pizza in Enfield for over two years, tasting one failure after another. Finally, I asked a long time resident who told me to drive 13 minutes south to Wilson Pizza in Windsor. I called in a small spinach and pepperoni pizza. The person who took the order was short with me when I asked how many slices were in a small. When I arrived, the place looked like a dump. Had I not ordered sight unseen, I never would have ordered from there. = O. The grumpy gentleman who rang up my order barely said a word. We got the pizza home and it was still hot, looked good, and smelled good. The toppings were generous, the crust was cooked well, the sauce had a slight kick to it. I only wish there was a little more sauce, otherwise, it was very good. Their people skills and organizational skills suck but they can make a good pizza.

1.) Introduction: I order when I’m at work, so it’s cool. Apparently these guys have been in business for many years and many people love them. They have built a credibility that has kept them around. 2.) Food: It is what it is. The pizza is okay, not typical New York/New Haven style, but I guess it can get the job done. I love the calzones from here. Very yummy, served hot, soft yet crispy crust, and gooey with cheese. 3.) Service: I wish they delivered. I’m not happy about that. If they would deliver I bet they would make even more money. 4.) Impressions: If you’re around the area come here for some food.

I’m still working extended hours at work because of Sandy, so I jump at the chance to get out of the building at lunch time. Today, I wandered down Route 159 and made my first ever visit to the Wilson Pizza Palace. I walked in around 12:30, and there were two customers ahead of me at the service counter(both doing take-out orders). I ordered, sat down in the huge and 100% empty dining room, and ate in solitude for the duration of my stay. No one else came in, except one sketchy type that came in to use the rest room. The menu is fairly big with pizza appearing in a starring role. Three sizes with 12 available toppings and the usual specials(Hawaiian, Vegetable, etc). Smalls range from $ 7.40 to $ 10 and the larges will run you $ 14-$ 20. They also offer sheet pizzas — $ 24 for a basic cheese up to $ 37 for the loaded«special». Also on the menu are 23 Grinders(half or whole), calzones, gyros, pasta, salads, seafoods, burgers and sides. Quite a nice menu, actually. I opted for a Chef Salad, and at $ 7.25 it was quite a nice deal — a huge plate of greens, salami, pepperoni, ham and cheese. Pretty solid, but standard with no «wow» factor. The cavernous dining room certainly reminds you of the building’s former life as a McDonalds. All in all, a pleasant lunch with a big portion at a reasonable price. We’ll take that any day, right?

Coworkers love Wilson’s Pizza but I’m not a big fan. Ive had pizza from Wilson’s many times and was never impressed. The pizza is better than Albany’s pizza but it isn’t on the same scale to Harry’s but they charge a hefty amount for a veggie special. For canned mushrooms and a few broccoli flowerettes and rings of onions I was a tad disappointed. If all you want is a cheese pizza then Wilson’s pizza will be sufficient but once you decide to pay for extra toppings do drive the extra mile to another location. The pizza is very greasy and crust is thick. I think the sauce is okay for me the best part of a pizza is the toppings and Wilson’s doesn’t deliver for me. I’ve had the eggplant parmesan and thought the serving size was on the small size. The sauce was nice and thick but way too salty. That was the last time I tried anything besides a cheese pizza.
