Windsor Ace Hardware

I have had a few not so great experiences. One cause is the extremely inflated prices. other is lack of customer service. My husband and I went to pick up a toilet flange, we located this area and found exactly what we needed. To our surprise there was a red 50% off label! Wooo Hooooo. However once we went to check out they told us it was not 50% off at all, we said no worries something back there is 50% off, we will go and get that model.
The store associate came back with us, he said they were sold out of the 50% model and that the ones that we picked up were all stored in the wrong bin. We then noticed an cheaper model for $ 3.49 sweet that is better then the other one! NOPE it too was $ 20.00.
When I asked why all their prices for this type of product were incorrect the clerk replied, «we have really lazy workers here»… No apologies from any of them, and not a single offer to help out on the prices. I’m not asking for something for nothing but… good customer service would be nice on top of their mistake!

I have been here 4 times in the last year. 3 of the times, they didn’t have what I needed. Their selection is good for basic needs. For specific or odd items go to a big box store.

I have been to this store a dozen or more times. As with all Ace Hardware stores, the prices are a little inflated compared to the big boxes but if you want immediate service and don’t want to be there forever, go to Ace. The staff at this particular store is great and most of the time they have what I need. In and out in 10 minutes or less.

I recently bought a house and have made several trips to Ace in Windsor. They have always been very helpful and kind. They’ve had all the parts I need and have very reasonable prices for a small town store. I like that I can go in without much knowlege and they can help explain what I need to do (for instance, to expand my sprinkler system). I’ve had to return a few items when I purchased the wrong size parts and it’s been a very smooth process each time.
