Best food, incredible music and lovely people. Great place for the over 50 set. Wedge salad only $ 2.50. Just a wonderful place to meet people or take someone special.

Went there about two months ago for the first time ever. atmosphere: in dining room(where we sat) it was low lighting, romantic but very old vibe. They should really spruce it up to get more young people in: less plants; maybe some black color paint… peaked into the bar, tons of TVs and more upbeat, will probably sit there next time Server: I’m not naming names but she was very grumpy we think because she didn’t get the party in the next room. she didn’t seem to want to be there. Also, I asked for input because I always do(servers if they’re good know the most about the food besides the cooks).she knew what people ordered but she didn’t know how any of the food actually tasted which I think is a bad sign of #1 management #2 that the food isn’t the best. Food: fancy presentation; served covered, banquet style. The mashed potatoes were piped out all fancy BUT they were barely warm. When you serve them like that I’m wondering if they’re piping them on a sheet pan and heating each to order. they need to think of a different way to make them warmer. the steaks were juicy. They weren’t the greatest cuts obviously but the cooks obviously know how to keep those cuts of meat juicy while they cook. The sauces YUCK! They shouldn’t even have those on the menu. I bet they’re from a packet. They’re horrible. Either have your chefs come up with their own single sauce base for every steak at the restaurant and add mushrooms/onions/etc to order or just don’t have sauces. PLEASE I’m willing to try it out again.

I decided to give this place another try. All of their food can’t be overpriced and basic, right? They recently put up a digital sign on Roosevelt so they can display their promotions. I came in to test out the«All you can eat wings for $ 8.99.» Honestly the wing deal is good, they give you alot of chicken but they don’t offer different flavors. The meat was good but not great… but at the price it is still an affordable lunch and pretty good. It’s just not special. I hope this place can rise above mediocre. There have been so many businesses at this location and they don’t seem to pass the test. I really, really am trying to like it but it always comes up short. If you are at the DuPage County Courthouse and looking for a good place to eat, this probably isn’t it. They get some additional stars for trying to improve their value, it went from 1 star to 3!

My husband and I really like this restaurant. We have been there twice now and can’t wait to go back! The atmosphere is cozy and the service is outstanding! We both had a steak and shrimp combo and it was excellent! Would absolutely recommend this to anyone tired of the«franchise» places to eat.

Wheaton has a gem in this restaurant! Wish I lived closer I’d be a regular. Great entertainment coming up too! I ordered for pickup the steak bites absolutely wonderful! And the chicken salad for my mom, it’s always iffy with. 94 yr old. She ate it all. I hope more people find this place especially for lunch going to recommend Coopers Corner as a meeting place for my gal friends.

The foods Ok, not too pricey though so it is what it is, it seems like they are trying to hard to be a 5 stare restaurant, they can tone it back a little in that department.

Went for Father’s Day brunch — our first time at this nearby restaurant. We were seated promptly by a friendly hostess, and our waitress was lovely as well. And that’s where my enthusiasm waned. There wasn’t much of a selection of the brunch buffet, and everything was cold. The bacon was undercooked, the fruit was runny and/or mealy looking melon, and looked as if it had been out all morning. I don’t like to waste food, but one bite of the biscuits and gravy and the rest was left on the plate. One of our guests liked the French Toast, so there’s a plus. I tried to get my $ 15.99 worth by making a meal out of dipping my pork sausage in maple syrup. The waitress overheard me mention that I was surprised to not have seen any desserts, and she said that they bring them to the table. She returned with a small plate with 6 small choices,(1″ square cheesecake, baklava, and some chocolate thing) although I would have preferred to make my own selection of items offered. Only one cheesecake, which everyone wanted, but Dad got. Oh well, he picked the place!

3rd review. Our 3rd visit was a real charm. We had a great time with the entertainment, and that was improved by the staff’s attention and cooperation. Seemed like everyone in the lounge stayed for the evening and had a ball. 5 stars to management for the close attention to the guests’ interests. They were very very busy that evening. All 3 rooms had groups of diners. We did have to wait a bit for the food but in the lounge everyone was going to stay anyway, so it didn’t matter much. When the food arrived it was served hot. The food itself was only 3 star. Some of the items are just fine, others tend to be light on moisture or somewhat undercooked. Their beef is usually nicely prepared and good quality. Other entrees or sides are variable. We took some dry leftover rice home and just added water when reheating, and it turned out just fine. The grains expanded to more than twice their size, indicating they were dry when originally served. The Salmon Aoili was OK, but on the verge of being overcooked. The sauce applied was a bit short and may have been applied too soon or in too small a dose. It was not much a support for the fish. Mashed potatoes were delicious. The ranch dressing on the salad seemed like it was home made and was very good. The food is healthy, and not highly salted. But chef may need to use a little more moisture, sauces, oils.

We visited on a Thursday evening for my Son’s 8th grade Graduation. There were 7 of us. My husband, and 5 children. We were very surprised by the appearance inside the restaurant. Appeared very clean, warm atmosphere. The waitress was very nice and patient. The food was very good. I ordered the New York strip steak. It was cooked just the way I liked it. My veggies were cooked just right and not soggy. Garlic potatoes were good, however a bit salty for me, but my husband and children loved them. I ordered a glass of wine and it was rather generous glass – definitely a good thing! When we received the check we were afraid to look at the bill, however it was very reasonable considering 3 people ordered steak, and 2 ordered burgers, and the 2 other children ordered off the children’s menu in which were very generous portions for kids. The chicken strips were very tasty. The bill was under 150 not including tip. I think that is very reasonable for a family of 7.

This was our first visit on April 23, 2015. Upon entering the restaurant we were delightfully surprised with the elegant décor. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and were given a lovely banquette/booth which made us feel we had a special private area just for ourselves. Their menu is varied and tempting for many choices but we each chose the fillet mignon since it is a specialty steakhouse and it was a special occasion for us. The steaks were mouthwatering delicious, tender, and prepared perfectly. They were accompanied with a fresh and generous salad and excellent salad dressing. They added extra blue cheese crumbles to a lovely blue cheese dressing. The entrée also included choice of potato and we felt the garlic mashed potatoes were quite yummy! The vegetables were prepared perfectly and I lovely selection of cauliflower, carrots and broccoli. They were fresh and not from frozen mix! The meal concluded perfectly with a scrumptious bread pudding dessert. The only slight glitch in the evening seem to be with timing related to the bar and a specialty cocktail that we requested took an inordinately long time to prepare. Additionally the wine selection that we was not available. That being said the cocktail was next to perfection and the alternate one choice was outstanding! Our server was Susan and she gave us attentive, warm and friendly service. She was not overbearing and allowed us to enjoy an evening that was more than we had hoped for! Live entertainment was provided on this Thursday evening as is many evenings of the week. We will certainly return and highly recommend you give it a try!

So sad that this place would even ATTEMPT to do ANYTHING as extensive as the menu alludes to. Lots of «early bird»(should have warned me) specials is very enticing however there was no evidence that they are able to do one thing well. I had overcooked shoe leather disguised as a pork cutlet accompanied by undercooked vegetables that tasted like they were sauteed in a pan previously used to fry old fish. The garlic mashed potatoes were LAUGHINGLY served in one of those small cafeteria bowls and looked as if it was actually scooped into the dish with the ice scream scoop dishers. My dining companion had beef stroganoff served with, «chef’s choice of pasta» which turned out to be linguini. Four of the five pieces of beef were cooked, a fifth was raw. Her bloody Mary wasn’t worth finishing. The server made several mistakes and was not very knowledgeable about the beverage or dinner menus.

Never again!!! Meat is fabulous but everything else needs work. Saying the service was poor is actually giving her credit. The wine was mixed up. She spilled dressing on my daughters coat and did not help clean it up. Then added 18% gratuity to our bill when we only had 7 people and the menu states parties of 8 or more.

The GPS in my phone took me in the wrong direction on Roosevelt road heading out to this place from Lisle… I have three GPS apps in my phone exactly for this reason, Waze took me right to the place with no problem. I met a friend here on a Sunday at 3pm… parking lot was very empty, which made me wonder what was up. When we walked in, we waited a bit as no one was at the desk to seat us. Made me wonder if they were open? They opened at noon, and a few hours later it wasn’t crowded at all… this information means nothing besides the fact you won’t have to wait at all at this time. They have a lot of great things on their menu, it was a little hard for me to decide but I ended up getting the Mackinac Island Chicken Salad Melt — something you don’t exactly see on other menus with a side of mashed potatoes. For starters I had a cup of their soup of the day which was potato bacon — both were very good. I enjoyed my meal here. Service was fine too — we didn’t feel at all rushed and could sit and enjoy our meals and conversation.

I really like the layout and how the place is decorated inside. Their food was pretty good. I got a steak and it was cooked just right. Other people in my party got a steak, burger, and crab sandwich which they all really enjoyed. Susan was our waitress and she was great. She was on top of getting us fresh bread along with refilling our drinks which are a pet peeve of mine. If you go in ask for Susan to be your waitress. This is a great place to get a good meal with out having to break the bank. Their prices are on par or better for the type of food you get.

I wanted to love this place because it’s close to home and replaced a restaurant I enjoyed visiting on occasion. I’ve been one time for lunch and once for dinner. Both times the meals were decent. Some items were very good, others were just fair at best. The bottom line is none of the dishes were worth the fairly steep price. My biggest complaint with this place is the staff. The first time I visited for lunch there were two gentlemen greeting(and I’ll use that term very lightly). Actually, they were both at the register trying to figure out how to split a bill. It was truly comical, but so inappropriate when a patron is standing very nearby. It was kind of a dumb and dumber skit to be honest. Then there is the waitstaff. Both times I’ve been there we had a different person waiting on us. Considering the atmosphere of this restaurant, the food they are serving, and the prices they’re charging, they have not chosen the appropriate staff at all. Both individuals were overly chatty, lingered wait too long at our table on many occasions, and were simply inappropriately chummy. But what took the cake for me last night was when our waitress was at another table and I could just barely hear the conversation but she asked the two young people sitting there if they were having an affair. No joke. Also I remember the first time we were there the waitress told us that the desserts were purchased. Last night our waitress brought a tray of desserts to our table and four to the items claimed they were old family recipes. With the crème brûlée she had no idea what it was I had to tell her the name of it. She said it was some kind of «oven pudding.» And what about the name Cooper’s Corner, you ask? We asked our waitress the first night and she said there was absolutely no reason for naming it that other then the owner thought it was cool. Obviously they are attempting to ride on the popularity of Another very similarly named restaurant in the area. Bad call.

I usually do not like to give such bad reviews but I want to be honest and also hope that this new restaurant will improve with time. Two of us had the NY steak which was good, while four of us had very disappointing dishes that lacked in flavor, overcooked and tough pasta. The restaurant needs to improve overall on their service as they are extremely slow and appear a bit disorganized. They also need improve on their dishes as well.

Went with our foodie friends and got pretty much what we expected. a mid level steakhouse with decent food and attentive service. Nice atmosphere. They recommended the two Salmon dishes and so three of us ordered them… at about 5:30 on a Sunday they came back to inform us that they were all out of Salmon. We were offered the Tilapia. .but that’s barely even a fish. We had the Chateaubriand appetizer which was pretty good if not slightly overpowered by the crispy onions. We also had the saganaki(tasty and just for fun) The Caesar salad was tasty but lacking. Due to the lack of real seafood.. my three companions ordered the Prime Rib. They said it was good. it looked like it. I got the 14oz strip steak… it was a little on the thin side but perfectly cooked and properly seasoned. very tasty. The grilled veggies were cooked perfectly and the garlic mashed potatoes… yummy. Four of us for dinner. bottle of Rodney Strong Cabernet($ 40) a few beers and a bill without the tip under $ 200. Not bad. This won’t be a destination for us. but we will give it another shot.
