5 stars for color and 4 stars for cut But not a good overall«experience» hence the 3 stars Call me old fashioned but why am I being directed to get my own gown, find my own way upstairs for the colorist and then my own way downstairs to find the stylist. I’m spending $ 300 with tip and I’m getting my own coffee. Then I’m waiting 30 mins for my stylist who has no idea I’m waiting for her because wait –was it my job to do that? She over ran and I was early from my color. She should have been told. My cut today was lazy and was finished with straighteners as last time — lazy. My cut took 30 mins from start to finish and was $ 95. In that time I had to ask for it to be tweaked as I wasn’t happy. I’m now in a store and my hair even feels damp so no way is the finish going to last the day. She over ran so I’m getting less time and leaving with damp hair? In the city I used to get my own gown but I felt wanted and welcome by the receptionists. Here 2 receptionists in particular make me feel as though I’m a transaction. «You know where your going right?» I’ve been here twice and both times I haven’t left feeling fabulous in the least. Hugely disappointing and I’m outta there. I’m going back to the city where my stylist and the salon was passionate about making me feel great and took the time to make my hair look amazing.

I have been going to Cameron for color and Gabriella for cuts for several years at Pascal’s. When the ladies moved to the Rehder salon it was a big step up in class and customer service. The salon itself is gorgeous and complimentary tea coffee water and snacks are cheerfully provided. Of course the best part is the highly qualified staff Rehder assembled. Gabriela it’s the only stylist I’ve ever turned loose on my hair with complete faith and trust on her vision. Cameron somehow takes my comments and works her hardest to make my color dreams come true. I never come out exactly the same way without requesting that to happen. I get many compliments on my stylish look!

Jennifer M. rocks color on every possible level. She knows how to keep my hair shiny and glowing with just the right auburn highlights while she keeps me entertained with her equally shiny personality. She(along with all other staff I have encountered) are friendly, highly professional and together they create a very welcoming environment. The aesthetics of the space has charm in its own right. I personally love hardwood floors, and the lovely crown molding is something pleasant to see while you are tipped back for a hair wash! There is even private space to do your own blow out if you choose to, and I happily return time and again!

Tried out this salon a few months ago just for a last minute blow dry. I had recently moved to Winnetka from downtown and was looking to find a higher end salon to go to on a regular basis(driving downtown 1 – 2 times a week was killing me). I believe, Liliana was the person i saw(may have misspelled her name). Salon looks nice and everyone I dealt with from front desk to shampoo person to hair stylist was very sweet. No complaints there. The blow dry on the other hand was just so so. I have pretty frizzy hair that isn’t the easiest to blow dry and it looked ok when i left but within a few hours it was greasy and flat(she used way too much product and didnt really smooth out the hair). I also had a brief consultation with a colorist although i cannot remember her name and she was nice but didnt seem to be very confident with difficult blonde color(which is what i asked the front desk for a recommendation for… someone who is good with difficult color like that). I may give them another try for a blow out with another stylist just to see since they do have really great reviews from other people. Maybe i just went to the wrong person.

Gabriella has given my flat lifeless hair a complete makeover. She changed my style and I can finally do my hair at home and have it look great. She’s also an extremely nice and upbeat person so I genuinely look forward to my appnts. She cuts, styles, does extensions– all excellent!

Paul Rehder salon continues to develop its services. The atmosphere is mellow but efficient. The entire staff from front desk to shampoo ladies make you feel special. Make an appointment with Scot Solomon for an evaluation of your color and cut. He’s amazing!

I just went to the new Paul Rehder Salon in Winnetka. The salon is gorgeous! It is sleek, stylish, and has an urban feel to it. Scott Solomon cut and colored my hair and it looks amazing. He is the BEST! Go to this salon for the atmosphere(and the jelly beans) and ask for Scott!

The beautiful new Paul Rehder salon is NOW open for business! I was thrilled to find Kate, from Pascal Pour Elle, now working in such a beautiful salon! Everything about this salon is wonderful! So happy for Kate and the entire staff to be here in Winnetka on Green Bay Road! Can’t wait to go back!

If your stylist recently disappeared from Pascal Pour Elle,* chances are you’ll find him/her here. I called Pascals a few weeks ago to book a much needed highlights appointment with the amazing Marissa when they informed me she was no longer there. Gasp! When I asked where she was they claimed they had no idea. I then tried to book appointments with a few other colorists I had heard were good… and it turned out they were all no longer working there as well. Strange! I used my social media detective skills to track down Marissa. She informed me that she(along with many other members of the Pascal fam) would be working at the new Paul Rehder salon in Winnetka. Phew! It’s just a few minute drive(rather than a walk to Pascals) from my house, but I’d drive wherever to see Marissa. I patiently waited for the opening of the salon & finally no longer look like a zebra. Marissa worked the same coloring magic she did when I visited her at Pascals. When I was done with her I was in the very capable hands of Nikki for a blowout. I also heard that the infamous blowout queen, Kate, made the move to Paul Rehder. I’m hoping it will be easier to get an appointment w/her now that she’s at a new place, but perhaps not after posting this review. :) It appears as if they kept their prices the same as Pascals($ 100 for color and $ 50 for a blowout). The salon itself is gorgeous. There’s so many hidden rooms that it’s way bigger than it appears… and rumor has it they’ll soon have a huge spa in the basement. Can’t wait! They are still under a bit of construction and the place smells like fresh paint, but all should be done within the next few weeks. They are officially open for business so pay them a visit for any of your hair(and soon spa) needs! *
