I am afraid of dental work but find the doctors harsh matter of fact personality comforting, the equipment shows that they don’t dump money on fancy designer chairs and fixtures, but the attachments to the older equipment is newer and sealed when I show up. The one thing I hate more than dental work is dentist who up sell and do unnecessary work. I put off getting a dentist but then I had an exposed nerve. My first time since moving here I expected X-rays, then a dozen appointments like I’ve always had, nope she said«does it hurt?» I said it did very much, she put on her mask and performed a full root canal then and there being very thorough but quick and efficient. She also put off my crown for a month cause I wanted to know how much the insurance would pay, I’ve never met a dentist who did that, you usually get surprise bills later, even if I did it then I would rather pay a reasonable amount and get $$ back from my insurance than leave it up to the dentist to «take care of it» when an provider does that the 20% I pay is often much more because they bill insurance much more. But dr Sharon is upfront and firm but nice. (I tried another office first but the staff was awful, dr Sharon’s staff isn’t super friendly but if u chat with them they warm up)

My husband just went to see the good dentist. Quite simply the front office receptionist did a bait and switch on us. They went from accepting an insurance acceptance as payment in full, to wanting the complete amount for the crown work to be done immediately. Also we would be responsible for anything insurance did not pay. They lied, they will not accept the insurance payment in full as they said originally. I worked as a dental assistant for nearly 25 years. I also made financial arrangements as an office manager for a dentist. I can’t believe such a blatant bait and switch tactic as I saw in this practice today. Don’t go here.
