The outside of this place may be u unimpressive but once u get inside, it’s a cute little bakery with lots of charm. Very friendly staff. Everything is made fresh to order. I got the oatmeal(sweetened) with cooked apples and a Nutella latte. Both were great!!! Highly recommend this place.

Wow! We just stopped in to the shop randomly while on a road trip. We were greeted by Roman(owners 5 yr old son) who was«stealing» baked goods from the assortment of HOMEMADE cookies and cupcakes. We ordered the NOLAtte and Nutella latte. They were heaven in a cup. We’re still trying to figure how they got that flavor in the cup… *drooling* we also ordered the breakfast quesadilla. While waiting for our food Roman taught us how to play«subway surfers» and we taught him how to play pac-man on «his» iPad. He was so smart and funny and before we knew it our food was there. We woofed it down so fast that I couldn’t get a picture. It was superb! I would stop here every time I visited Texas if I came often!!! Highly recommend a visit.

No doubt, Brewed Awakening, is a gold mine. Sandwiches made with HOMEMADE bread, Boar’s Head deli meats & cheese! Coffee was great. Homemade baked goods looked divine. Sweet barista and staff; very accommodating. Interesting menu items, a «Secret Stash» cookie, a peanut butter/coffee-shake? and more. My husband and I would go back in a heartbeat. Extremely clean restaurant. Cozy.

I didn’t even realize I walked in ten mins before they closed. Didn’t say a word, awesome service even though I felt so bad! Made me fresh coffee right on the spot. Awesome stop on my trip from Gulfport to San Antonio.

This place was super rad, I was driving from North Carolina to Texas and stopped here for one of my meals. It was definitely a beautiful site for sore eyes. I only grabbed a chicken salad sandwich but it was amazing. The bread is homemade and super delicious. I was amazed at how well a chicken salad sandwich could taste.

The chicken salad sandwich was amazing. They make their own bread and it is delicious. Also they have really good homemade soups. The Smoothies and coffee drinks are excellent also.

Stopped here due to good reviews, but disappointing experience. The young waitress was not particularly welcoming although the older lady was very nice when she came out front. My food order(a wrap) got messed up and I got something different from what I had ordered. We’d waited 20 mins by then and had to get going so I just ate it. I had to ask three times to get my coffee served. My food was ok, underwhelming but my spouse had pancakes and bacon(served all day) and those were really, really good. Bad service means we won’t be back though.

Stopped in randomly during a road trip and was very pleasantly surprised. We found organic coffee, soy and almond milk, a diversity of healthy food options including smoothies — not a frequent find in small towns. We split a breakfast quesadilla with extra avocado instead of bacon and cheese, and it hit the spot. Also, super affordable breakfast for two. Oh, and the owners/staff were super friendly and personable.

The drive through these parts can get really boring, so I needed a pick me up coffee. Knowing that I avoid fast food chains like the plague my girlfriend found this unexpected coffee shop on Unilocal.Had no idea what to expect with it being a small town and all but the latte they made was really good! I would put it at a few notches better than what you could expect at Starbucks, which is infinitely more notches than I was thinking when I took the exit. They also had food that looked good but didn’t try any this stop. Maybe next time I make the drive I will give it a shot and update the review. Regardless, if you are nodding off at the wheel and want a decent coffee — this place could stand on that alone. Worth pulling over for a quick stop if you are passing through

We stopped here on our way into Galveston to grab a sandwich and it was a very pleasant surprise. Staff was small but very very nice. Huge selection of coffees and tea, they even had some vegetarian alternatives for some of the sandwiches(chick-pea salad sandwich as opposed to a chicken salad sandwich was so good) great little place for a quick bit to eat for brunch

Hand made food items here. The best kind. I had a chicken salad sandwich on wheat bread. Quite good, but not amazing. Needed some seasoning, to suit me. Was good anyway. I had one of each kind of cookie they make here, about 4 dif. They were good but not fab. Americano coffee also real good, but not fab. Probly would not return, but is a potential spot that just needs some tweeking on food.

I used to think there was no healthy food in Winnie. Now I know better. I have been getting coffee and breakfast from this place for a while now. I love the spinach wrap with egg whites. I just tried one of their new salads(spinach, apples, pecans, and dried cranberries). It’s delicious with their homemade raspberry vinaigrette. Leslie(the shop owner) is great. She is always so friendly and accommodating. I recommend this place to anyone looking for an alternative to fast food.

This little place is really cute and has the sweetest lady running it. However, the coffee is too weak for me. I am a coffee drinker and I love coffee in my coffee.

This is the first time I’ve heard about this place so i decided to stop by and check it out. I got the house brew and asked for a hint of cream and coffee looks white and i cannot taste the coffee. I don’t think I got any sugar. I’ll probably stop by again next time I come into town. Hopefully this small town business will be a little better.
