I only purchase my meat from Ledebuhr’s because it’s the best quality meat around. Great steaks and hamburger! Daily lunch menu with made to order sandwiches or specials like pork sandwiches, Ledebuhr’s own made hot dogs, sloppy joes, brats and so on. They have pre made frozen hamburger patties which are great to grab and take on a camping trip. They also have cut up beef bones to treat your dog. Located just off of 2nd St. by Winona Bread & Bagel.

This shop sells the greatest bratwurst in the world. I mean it. You can’t touch ‘em. Trust me. I’ve shipped their brats around the nation to friends and family who have moved away, and had them shipped to myself as well. Right next to Rochester Fruit, two great specialty shops right next to each other.

Best butcher in town! They’ve got a location off of 2nd St, next to the Bread & Bagel, which is where we went for all our meats. Some cuts are a little more expensive than the prepackaged meats available at the other grocers, but others are way less expensive. They don’t take credit cards if the total is less than $ 10, and some weeks we had trouble meeting that mark even if we bought a lot of meat. It’s fresh, it’s local, and it’s better than what we used to buy before shopping here. The staff’s always been friendly, to the point that they recognized us when we came in and would chat as they sliced bacon or counted sausages. When they started offering fresh, locally-grown eggs at about half the price of the other places in town, there was no reason to shop for proteins anywhere else. If you love bacon as much as I do, this is absolutely the place you need to shop for it. They slice it right off the side, at just the right thickness, and it’s the best bacon I have ever had. This is one of the few places I’ve missed since we moved away from Winona.

all i’ve had from here is the beef jerky. at around $ 30/lb, this is no cheap eat. it’s sold in huge pieces that you can pull apart into stringy bits. when it’s fresh, it’s moist and salty. as it dries out, it becomes even saltier. my gf says ledebuhr’s does beef jerky the old fashioned way, that that’s how all beef jerky should be. i just shut up and continue gnawing on the tasty piece of flesh.
