This place is a diamond in the rough. It’s a small hole in the wall place. For those of you who’ve lived in Winston for a while, it is where PharMor used to be by marketplace mall. I’ve been here a few times and the comedy acts are hysterical, for the most part. I love the fact that the room is small so that it’s actually an experience with the comics. They get great acts. I actually came to the DL Hugley show and have been back twice since then. There are tables that you can sit at. Just know if you’re getting drinks they are quite expensive and come in very small plastic cups. My suggestion, go to dinner before you go to a show have a drink or two and then maybe just have one drink there. Definitely check this place out it’s a great one. I hope it stays around.

This place is always a good time! I went once with just my husband and we were rolling the entire time. I then went again with a group of girls for a ladies’ night and everyone really enjoyed themselves. They have a full bar and I think a few food options, we didn’t order any so of that I am not certain. I always keep an eye out for who is performing when because I’d like to make it a regular date night activity. It’s worth the $ 8 – 12!

Went there this past weekend. Liz Russo was one of the comedians. It was hilarious. Great time

I go here all of the time. Literally, every weekend there is a different comedian, and I love love love it! Sometimes the comedians are a little insecure when we don’t laugh, and they get awkward, but most of the headliners are great. It’s the best when they do crowd work and make fun of your friends! It’s dark inside with strange photo in the background that the comedians always comment on. Perfect price for the tickets. They serve drinks too and nachos too, but that can get a little pricey. It’s definitely worth it to go for a night!

This place looks like it would be a dive from the pot hole filled parking lot, but it is really nice inside. The price is great and I would prefer coming here over going to a movie. The comedians are usually pretty funny, some more than others so do some research. I have seen many bachelor/ette parties and it would be a fun idea for that, it’s also a great date night too. There is plenty of space inside and for parking. I have recommended this place to others and prefer it over the improv. comedy places nearby

I had a nice time at the Laughing Gas. We were with a group so we had our own tables. The staff was very friendly and showed us to our seats. Our waitress kept checking on to see if we needed drinks She may have been a little too good because my view was getting blocked and I was getting bumped several times. The place is super clean and the chairs comfortable. As to the acts it just depeds on your taste. I liked the host and one of the comedians. THe others I did not find very funny. For 10 dollars it was a worthwhile evening.

I had a great time at Laughing Gas, I will definitely be back. They had three comedians a host with a few jokes in between, for $ 10 per ticket it was a fun night out. They had a journal deal going on buy one ticket get one free. I liked the second two comedians the best and not really the first, but that all comes down to personal taste. You win some, you lose some! The waitress covered the room well making sure no drink was left empty. She didn’t have much room to walk around to get to tables but managed to cover every table just fine. The wine selection was sad though cabernet, chardonnay, and white zin. That was a let down for me! Obviously they drinks aren’t cheap here. That is I’m sure where they make all their money after all. Plan ahead and reserve a table, they have plenty so you shouldn’t have a problem as long as you call a few days before. This is right next door to Johnny and June’s and they gave us free passes their for the night.

We went a few weeks ago and the first two comedians were«Meh…» some good jokes. The majority of their jokes were just crude or not very funny. Not to worry though, the crude jokes were enjoyed by the drunken«30+ something but think they are 21» guys in the corner. The final act was really great and saved the night to be honest. The mixed drinks were overpriced and really awful to stomach. It is something to try in Winston-Salem and we may try again if there seems like a good comedian is coming. I think it’s great to try something different, but it only deserves 2 stars for«Meh. I’ve experienced better.»

Had a great time despite the small crowd. The comedians made the most of it. Local brews but not much on the munchie side.

I was very excited that Laughing Gas came to Winston Salem! Upon my first experience I found the comedy club to be welcoming and comfortable. Loved the décor! Staff were found to be friendly and speedy! Several good draft options low prices. Enjoyed all 3 performers. And overall wonderful double date night! Only thing I could suggest is a few more food options.

I need to preface this review by saying that I’ve spent the better part of my life living and performing in some of the best comedy houses in the country. I’m giving this place four stars because of how difficult it has to be to maintain a place like this in Winston Salem. I went here last Friday night and saw two comedians from the Ohio/Michigan region and one local comedian(in addition to the host). There was a lot of energy to the show and for a $ 10 cover, it was worth it. We saw about 90 minutes of comedy while we were there, most of which was consumed by the two guests from up north. My favorite comedian was a guy named Zach from Greensboro. His set was limited in time but I thought he had some real talent. There was some pretty brutal heckling that was going on during one of the headliners — I’m pretty sure that they were kicked out. I hope so anyway because it was drunken, undeserved type of heckling(not the funny kind when a comedian is bombing). I’ll be back at this place a lot so I’m glad to know it’s there. I know they have some bigger names appear at the club but those tix are $ 25 and I’d prefer to see more of what the local talent pool can do.

Joey and I went to Laughing Gas Comedy Club tonight and really enjoyed ourselves. There was a friendly staff greeting as soon as we entered the door. We were able to start a tab at the door, which is great! There’s great pictures on the outside of the building and inside on the walls of famous comedians– which I liked. The waitresses were busy the whole time checking on their tables. In the beginning they were flooded with customers because everyone enters at once, but we got prompt service. There isn’t any«real food» here, just pop corn and nachos, but the nachos were good. The drinks from the bar were average, about what you would expect on a night out anywhere. The comedians were great and interacted well with the crowd. At the end of the show there was a friendly good bye from the whole staff as we were leaving, and the waitresses got right to work cleaning for the next crowd that was building outside of the door. Joey and I had a really great date night here and recommend it to the triad area. I really enjoy comedy and was pleased with this club.
