Had a great time last night on our GNO! We were all celebrating my grandmother moving to town and starting a new life here with us. We had about 11 of us girls not all very well acquainted. Some of us were nervous as we do not see ourselves as «artistic», but we were open minded. We brought lots of wine, champagne, cheese, fruit, etc. The two ladies who were instructing the class were super helpful on the steps and techniques. They reminded us this was fun and not to be stressed over. We all ended up having a wonderful time! And by the end of it we were all quite proud of how our artwork turned out. Might even hang mine in the dining room! They have dozens and dozens of pictures to choose from for private and public painting sessions. I will definitely be back with another group of friends and maybe my husband for a date night :)! Thanks for the great time Merlot and Van Gogh

Was in town for a wedding and the whole wedding party got to paint the bride and groom in their ‘own image’, with a lot of help (for some of us) from our instructor. Really fun and the owner runs a great business. Really attentive and you can tell she cares about her reputation. Definitely recommend.

This place is so much fun!
I have been here several times, and I always have a great time. The teachers are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is great. We bring our own food and drink and, if you want, there’s a pizza shop next door that will deliver. I always leave with a painting I want to hang in my house, and they also have pretty frames for sale. Fun, fun, fun!

I’ve been here 3 times and its always so much time. I’ve been once to one of their open night paint lessons and twice for my private birthday parties. My family and friends loved it as well, even though none of us are artists! Anyone can do this! merlot & Vangogh are more laid back and relaxed than other paint classes I’ve been too. You go at your own pace, change up the colors if you want, and get all the paint you want.

I love that winston Salem finally got one of these gigs. I’ve lived doing similar painting outings in Tampa and even Charlotte. Of course now that it’s here I’ve only been a few times, but I do have plans to go more!
The first time I went was on a date. I wasn’t really into my date and the owner could tell. She totally made the experience more fun! I probably would have left had it not been for her.
The space is nice and clean, all of the employees are super friendly and helpful. I’ve been to other studios, but this is by far my favorite, just for the employees. So fun and nice, and they have more options if uo want to paint something different than they have scheduled. You can have your own painting party and decide what you want to paint. I think you need to brings certain amount of friends, but how fun!!!

I really enjoyed my Merlot and Van Gogh experience. I went for paint your pet night. The ladies were very nice and helpful. They were also very organized and had my canvas waiting for me. They brought by fresh water for our brushes several times. They also use a fast drying paint so you do not have to worry about transporting your painting. I am not a very good artist but with their help I was able to make a nice painting of my dog. You can also bring wine beer or your own food. The atmosphere was very relaxed and they had nice music playing as well. I would definitely come back for another paint session.
