Style Encore – Winston Salem

I received an email on Friday, August 22, 2015 from Style Encore stating they were buying sweaters. So on yesterday, Monday, August 25, 2015 I dropped a large storage bin of new and VERY gently used clothing, primarily sweaters and two pair of Nine West shoes that were worn one time each. I was not able to return until they opened this morning, August 26^th to discuss what they were «willing» to purchase from me (as the sales lady put). To say I was shocked is putting very, very light. While I am aware that they items they select vary by location, they literally only selected the items that had tags on them and told me that my shoes were scuffed up. The black pair of Nine West pump were worn less than 3 hours… they are in immaculate condition, in fact, I could take them back to the store if it were within the return window.
I was so appalled because the clothing, shoes, and accessories at that particular location is barely above what you can purchase at a Goodwill store location. I am issuing a complaint this time because when I sold some designer bags there previously a similar situation occurred. I treat my clothing and shoes as people will treat their children and pets because I love to shop. Needless to say, I have a full card of stamps and started a new card today but I will never patronize Style Encore again.

They buy your pre loved clothing and pay you cash on the spot and have a fantastic customer rewards program as well. If I need anything or if I am just in the mood for some retail therapy Style Encore is always my first stop!

Wow this place is such a hidden gem! I went today and they have lots of designer clothes in excellent condition. I bought two pairs of shorts, one LOFT and one Anne Taylor and they were each $ 12. They also have a lot of Lilly Pulitzer, LOFT, J. Crew, Express, the Limited, and more. I would say they cater to 20 – 40 year old women but it’s a good mix of contemporary and sophisticated clothing. Everything is arranged by size and the store overall was very clean and organized. I would definitely recommend this consignment shop to all women in the Winston area! They also buy your gently used, brand-​name clothing as well.

I love, love, love this place! The staff is so friendly, the owner is often there and she loves helping you find things you look good in. The prices and selection are great. One trip and you will find yourself there at least once a week.
