Brisket melts in your mouth. It’s absolutely heavenly! Love this old school type of place too. Love coming here when we come for the winter garden farmers market!

Every now and then I am blown away by a Mom n Pop find and today was that day… I came upon Harry and Larry’s while heading to Axum Coffee to get some work done while sipping on a cup of Joe. Since I had not eaten lunch and am a sucker for BBQ I decided to give them a try. Well, I have to admit the smell drug me right on in… You order at the counter and can sit at the tables on the sidewalk or inside in a dining area decorated with some of the coolest signage I have seen since leaving Texas. I took LOTS of pics for you to see the«Cool Factor» this place has. Let’s be honest… It is taste that matters… I ordered the Big Man Dinner that comes with 3 meats, 2 sides and Texas Toast and shared it with my wife. THANKGOD I shared it with her because that was a lot of food for $ 21.95! Let me start with my complaints… They do not remove the silver skin from the bottom side of the ribs. If that is the worst thing I can say… Prepare yourself for the highlights… The Baked Beans were a medley of three different beans with a flavorful sauce and just enough sweetness to say hello but not too much. The Fried Okra was crispy, crunchy and not at all slimy. The sides were a hit! I was also please to see BOTH sides of the Texas Toast were actually toasted. You will be surprised how many places only toast one side. The ribs were perfectly cooked and had a great smoke ring and lots of flavor. Sauce was not required in my opinion. The pulled Pork was great. I loved how they let the smoke do the work and did not over season the meat. ALL of the sauces work well with the Pulled Pork. Now for the star of the plate… That Brisket was tender, had a great flavor and was as good as you would expect to find back in the Lone Star State! I can’t believe I was not told about this place by one of my foodie friends but I get the feeling they were trying to keep this one all to themselves. Well I am spreading the word because THISBBQJOINT is a HIDDENGEM worth spreading the word about! Don’t take my word for it… Go and taste their BBQ for yourselves and I suspect you will thank me… A Florida Foodie

This is our favorite barbecue spot in Florida. Great barbecue. Excellent sides. Beans are great! Fried pickles excellent! Cute interior for a tiny restaurant!

I was walking through downtown Winter Garden and passed by Harry & Larry’s and just spoke out loud to friends that were with me saying I had been craving some good BBQ. Well a woman working there by the name of Doreen just happened to hear me and as sweet as could be said ‘well you should try it let me give you a sample.’ The way she said it was so welcoming, you would have thought she had just randomly seen me outside and invited me into her home for dinner. Everyone else working in there as well was just so friendly. They gave me a sample of the brisket, pulled pork and chicken– all of which were juicy and tender and had an amazing flavor. The sauce was delicious, my favorite was mixing their sweet and hot sauce together as I like a bit of a kick. I ended up ordering a pulled pork sandwich with baked beans, fried okra and cornbread. I cannot say enough good things about the entire experience all of it was amazing, highly recommended!

Got the pork platter and it was juicy and flavorful. The yellow(mustard?) sauce at the table was really good. I also got the fried pickles, which were a little overcooked, but the sauce that they came with was really tasty. The drink could have been included with the meal. It was an extra $ 2.50 for a drink, which consisted of 8 fountain drink choices. The décor was interesting to look at while you were eating. The portion sizes were big and the service was really quick. Similar pricing to Porkies. I would go back.

Just stopped by tonight because Winter Garden Pizza Company was too busy. I’m glad we did. This is our new favorite bbq spot in Florida. I had the cesar salad with pulled pork. It was delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful. My boyfriend had the brisket sandwich with slaw and fries. His food was fantastic as well. The brisket was lean, but still moist. So good. All the sauces were delicious, and we can’t wait to go back. Service was friendly and extremely quick even though there were plenty of people dining there. We had a great experience overall. Very full, and very happy.

Amazing meal. Had the pork sandwiches with mac & cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, and fries. Everything was delicious. The sandwiches included a generous pile of succulent smoky meat on perfectly toasted thick-cut bread. The beans were my favorite side; smoky, sweet and tender. The service was friendly and fast. I would absolutely come back next time I’m in Winter Garden and I will recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We love Harry and Larry’s! The pulled pork sandwich is my favorite and my husband likes the brisket. The sides we’ve tried — sweet pot fries, fried pickles, and beans are all winners. The Brunswick Stew is sooo good too! My only complaint is they aren’t open on Sunday, when we usually want to wander around downtown.

A delectably tasty bbq joint in the heart of downtown winter garden. It has an open window for ordering but patrons can also sit inside. I ordered the lunch plate with brisket and this place has the tastiest brisket I have had in Florida. The prices are very reasonable and the wait is minor, much better than the larger chain of bbq restaurants inspired by four large streams.

Good, however, I wish I could eat here more but I no longer go to Winter Garden due to the amount of Police traps everywhere. Plant street is laiden with speed traps and cops and just too hard to support this place.

So yummy! The brisket is delicious. My only complaint is the sauces seem to be lacking a bit of something, but not sure what. But it’s really good nonetheless. And quick. I love the interior. They do have outdoor seating which I prefer, but it was raining when I visited.

I come here several times every time I visit Florida. The menu is just what a BBQ place should be. Locally owned everything fresh and perfect.

My friend and I were looking for a well known place for BBQ ribs. He told the cashier he doesn’t eat pork. She told us they have brisket. So we got a half a pound of brisket, cole slaw, and sweet pot. Fries. The fries were AMAZING! The cole slaw was bland. My real complaint was about the brisket. For a place that is well known for BBQ this brisket was very underseasoned. It had an over smokey taste which really over powered the watered down sweet BBQ sauce. I’m kind of disappointed. I will return, but only for the fries.

Outstanding little joint. Order at the counter, just about all the usual suspects are available in this long, narrow, little gem squeezed in among other shops and restaurants on Main St. in Winter Garden. Get the brisket sandwich. Thick cut, but tender, moist and smoky, with a delicious perfectly rubbed exterior, served up on thick cut, buttery Texas Toast, absolute perfection. Took me right back to my Dallas days. Baked beans were a mix of pinto and navy beans with tender cooked pork… smoky, meaty goodness with just the right mix of spices. If you like it hot, try the xxx hot sauce, dark, rich, and a little sweet, with a killer habanero kick, great on the beans and brisket. Don’t pass this one by, brisket done right is a rare find.

This isn’t quite a hole in the wall, but it is a rather small place. They make great use of their space, however, and it works. We ate outside and got service from the front-facing service counter. Service was quick and friendly. The food was great and very well priced. We had brisket(great smokey flavor), turkey(very moist), q-stew(awesome!), along with baked beans(I love the different beans in the mix), green beans(too much salt, but cooked well), and cole slaw(a little too liquidy). I’d love to come back! It’s a great place to visit for quick service, great food, and good prices.

Around Orlando, 4Rivers gets all the press, but there’s plenty of stiff competition. Harry & Larry’s serves up some excellent BBQ. I was quite impressed with everything I tried, and will definitely stop back in next time I’m visiting Winter Garden.

Nothing new since our last experience. Ordered the same things(brisket, pulled pork, sweet pot. fries and okra) to see if perhaps some setting was off from first visit? No difference. Great sides still, but we simply cannot eat meat with that burner taste. The help here are sooo friendly and nice by the way. Guess H&L is off our list for good. Can’t please everybody.
