Dr. Lubin manages a pain management clinic with Gessler in Winter Haven. He must be popular, he schedules new patients 4 months out. His specialty is anesthesiology. He’s a graduate of Yeshiva University in NY. His clinic on the corner of Avenue D and First Street is a stand alone. His office people are behind a glass window making it hard to hear. They have a sign that says«social security card required» but didn’t say that prior to the appointment. They asked me to come 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork then took me 20 minutes after scheduled appointment time. Several who arrived after me went before me. The nurse said it was her fault I was 20 minutes late – she wanted a room with a desk and had to wait for another patient to vacate rather than giving me an available room. Hour waits are not fun. They shoved a urine cup at me, required before appointment. They never announced purpose as a «tox screen». I thought this was shady behavior to not explain their policy to newbies. They require you to sign a 20 point checklist that makes you sound like a drug addict. Their waiting room is scary – a guy sat there when not pacing, using profanity and acting agitated, talking to himself. The office people were oblivious(behind glass window). The doc came in quickly when my turn finally came, but was pretty arrogant-the kind who doesn’t hear you but has a lot to say. This is clearly a «drug» center who does not believe in other alternative therapies like biofeedback, acupuncture, etc His pushy attitude made me uncomfortable to try him. I won’t return. I guess I need a higher degree of desperation.
