Their breakfast is delicious!!! Been there several times and always happy with food. Sometimes I feel they could use more servers, but most of the time no issues! Yum

We arrived here after church 11:45…we were not even approached for our drink order for 30 minutes. We placed our order at 12:15 and it is now 1:35 and we still don’t have our food. They have apologized to everyone around us that it was the church has group that put them behind… funny thing,.we were here before the church crowd and there were 5 girls on the floor. Probably in all likelihood we will not be back. Food arrived at 1:42. My husband’s meat lovers omelet had a piece of meat in the middle and the rest was cheese and my pancake was cold. we are now leaving and it is 1:55…they close at 2:00. Absolutely ridiculous!

We went for breakfast, we have recently began a gluten free diet so our choices were limited. We both had omelets, cheese for me and meat for my husband, they were delicious. We were glad we ordered ½ orders, they are huge! It is located at the airport, the back wall is a window so you can watch the planes taking off and landing, they also have a little patio if you like outdoor seating. The prices were very reasonable and the service was excellent.

Went to this restaurant on Wednesday March 18,2015, had heard many good things, when we entered we were confused about if we were to seat our self or order from the counter. We did figure out to seat our self. Our waitress Amanda was very good and helpful. The food was plentiful, however we were less than pleased with the final product, we had breakfast. The pancakes were very large but had no flavor and the syrup was less than flavorful and very thin. We will visit again because we believe in the two visit rule. Next time we will try

Pappy’s is a breakfast and lunch place situated at the Winter Haven Airport. The best seats in the house are outside, next to the runways where you can see the planes coming and going from the shaded comfort of your table. Breakfast is a real experience, be sure to come hungry. The pancakes are the size of a hubcap and not just large, but tasty. Lunches are reasonably priced and the portions are generous. My favorite is the Buffalo Shrimp with sweet potato and white potato fries. The husbands go-to dish is the pulled pork. The service is quick and the staff is friendly. Pappy’s Grill has become a regular destination and I highly recommend you try it.

They still can’t keep servers. My guess is the prime hours aren’t long enough to make any money and the clientele don’t tip very well. Which is a little understandable since the rookie servers don’t know their jobs all that well. I got the cheese burger this time. You could tell the patty had been cooked well ahead of time. It was well done and dried out. My wife and I still go there because it is convenient to both our work places. But their breakfast foods are fresher than the rest of the menu.

We tried Pappy’s twice this morning… first time and last time. Probably the WORST breakfast we’ve ever had. The pancakes were so tough and rubbery you could have bounced them off the floor. Bacon was the cheapest brand they could buy. Horrible flavor. My over easy eggs had no runny yoke. I must admit the portions were big, but who what’s quanity when the quality stinks. Don’t know who was in the back cooking because the chef-owner spent the whole time we were there in the dining room asking in a loud annoying voice, «Did you get ENOUGH to eat?» He never once asked anyone if they enjoyed their food, no, he was only concerned with the amount of food he was serving, not if was good. Whoever gave this place the 4 and 5 star ratings must have been the owner’s family and friends. The only redeeming factor for the morning… our server was pleasant and efficient.

A great breakfast. A huge pancake, with sides of eggs, bacon and sausage, all for less than $ 5.00. Service was attentive but we never felt rushed. Conveniently located in the Winter Haven airport FBO. Definitely worth the flight

Went with girlfriends for breakfast. We were warned ahead of time of the size of the blueberry pancakes, so two of us decided to split the order of pancakes and each get a side of bacon. The food was ok, nothing extraordinary. The service was good. When we received the bill, there was a charge for sharing. Our waitress never told us that when ordering. I expect that charge in finer restaurants, but not a diner. We were told by the cashier that the charge was for washing the dish. Won’t be going back!

We visited Pappy’s on Tuesday morning, September 17. The food is quite good; However, our server appeared to be having a bad day and did not provide a welcoming experience.

You don’t expect to find either good food or reasonable prices at the local municipal airport, but you get both at Pappy’s Grill. For $ 4.95 you get three biscuits, cut in half, with sausage gravy generously ladled onto all six halves. There’s lots of sausage in the gravy and to add a little extra flavor, there’s also bacon mixed in with the sausage. Add two eggs for another dollar.
