Rotary Park, situated between Lake Martha and Lake Elbert, is a small but well-equipped park in the city. It’s not as large a facility as Lake Shipp or Sertoma Park, but you won’t run into huge groups of sports leagues battling it out if you want to enjoy an afternoon outdoors without travelling far. Rotary Park features a clubhouse with two meeting rooms that can be rented for various activities. There’s plenty of grounds to take a walk or throw a frisbee, a butterfly garden, picnic tables and a covered pavilion. Additionally you’ll find a small baseball field, basketball courts and handball/racquetball courts. There are facilities for youth of all ages, including playground equipment for small kids. Not so small kids will enjoy the tallest swingsets you’ve ever seen. And these days there is even a small skate park for big kids. To skate you do need to sign a waiver but there is no fee.
