Went to The Shipping Center on 2÷9÷15 while visiting family in town. Arrived around 3:30pm with a package measuring 36″ x 36″ x 6″, weighing 14 lbs. The blond woman(owner) measured my package and told me that it would cost $ 60.00 to ship. That seemed a lot to me so I told her I was going to see what USPS(down the street) would charge and come back if necessary. I went straight to the post office and got a price from them to ship the package for $ 130.00 so I immediately took the package back to The Shipping Center to ship it based on my quote I received earlier. When I arrived the same person helped me and asked me the cost the post office quoted, to which I responded«$ 130.00». She then takes my exact same package, measured it and told me the cost would be $ 71.80 to ship it, an increase of $ 11.00 from my earlier quote. Her answer when I asked why the price increased was that she must have measured wrong and I should have shipped it with her earlier(she remembered helping me earlier and even remembered the previous price quoted). I would NEVER take a package back to this shipper, I felt that she took advantage and should have stood by her original quote. I was on my way to airport and had no time or I would have definitely shipped the package via Fedex Ground or even USPS to avoid giving her my business.
