This place was great! I was vacationing in Orlando with my husband. We had the basil wrappers, chili rellenos, Asian vegetable wraps and a s’more. Everything blew my mind! Wish it was still open!

Huge shame this place closed. Is it reopening somewhere? I’d pay to come to your house for dinner for some pad Thai. This was the first time in my life I ate a raw meal. and despite how hungry I thought I would be after, and how unappetizing the food would be, I was soo wrong. I’m assuming it closed bc the place lacked people. bc of people like me who were like«umm. No meat? No way». But I’ve been craving this place for months and am super bummed it’s now gone. They had a great wine selection that was super affordable. Gotta love that! I had the pad thai. and was concerned bc normal, non-raw, pad thai is a weakness of mine. I ate the entire thing! Despite that it lacked meat and was made from zucchini, cashew, and who knows what other healthy items, it actually tasted like real pad Thai and was super delicious! Its been on my mind like crazy and I can’t fill the void. My friends had the lasagna which they said was the best thing on the menu(I didn’t try it but couldn’t believe it was better than the pad Thai I was eating). The desserts were decadent and delicious. I remember that chocolate torte. mm mm mm… Hoping that since this place closed, at the very least they’ll go help out the new vegan place next door?! For my health, I need your deliciously prepared veggies. please come back.

This restaurant has a chill vibe and wonderful food. I love their spicy hummus with the Sun Dried Tomato cracker things. There lasagna is always a hit with the non vegan people I bring with me to this restaurant. Although their basil rappers have always been my favorite, the pad thai is also amazingly good. they have a variety of smoothies and drinks for you to try. Also I do enjoy their desserts the s’mores are particularly good and normally I like to get one of their ice cream flavors as dessert. I appreciate their attention to detail as these dishes take time to prepare and execute correctly. And I enjoy the flavor waters they serve while you get to enjoy the ambiance and people watch.

If you ever want to try Raw vegan cuisine in Orlando, this is the place to be: great atmosphere, good food, and a wonderful staff. Here the food is always fresh– and did I mention I love the background music. The menu may seem limited, but due to the limits of preparing raw food it’s necessary. However, they have a splendid selection of smoothies, mylkshakes, and juices(The Green Glow is the best – especially if you are feeling a little sick). Amanda is the best server. She is courteous, nice, and very personable. I did not give it 5 stars, because they always seem to be out of one thing or another when I come here to eat.

Craving deliciousness? There is no place like it in Orlando. If you’re a Raw Foodist, you will love it. If you’re new to «living» food, you will be blown away. Owner/Chef personally prepares each dish. You can taste the LOVE. If and when I eat out, this is the one place to go. As a certified Health Educator, it’s nearly impossible to recommend places that offer quality food. Not an issue with Café 118.

I met 2 friends here 3 days ago for lunch. It was a cute little quaint place with trendy décor. The bathroom was nice and clean. And the menu had options for people like us who enjoy gluten free, raw and vegan clean eating! Score. I had the«lasagna» while my two friends opted for the«pad Thai». Both dishes were flavorful and filling. We were pleased and enjoyed our meals. Service was good and accommodating. I am new to town so I needed my GPS on my cell to get there. Needless to say, that killed my battery. The waitress gladly charged my phone for me while we had our meal. I would give this place 5 stars but it was a little pricey. My «lasagna» was $ 18. I know clean eating costs you a good buck but I’m still hoping to find a place that is less costly. Either way, I’m sure I’ll be back. :-)

If you love raw vegan food, then this your spot. The salad I had was good and I enjoyed their fresh veggie juice. I wish they had bigger sizes of the juice.

The food here is phenomenal! I have been here twice and each time has been really awesome! Not sure if they change a few items on the menu and how often, but we had the kimchi rolls, the curry salad, and the lasagna and it was AMAZING! IF they have the chocolate tort, GEIT! Oh! Get a «Verde Goddess»(i think thats the name?) with coconut butter added to it! SOOOOOO smooth and creamy! While it is a bit expensive, its all organic so you get what you pay for. 100% recommend this place!

The food is definitely for the health conscious. The strawberry milkshake was good, despite having no milk or added sugar. The lasagna reminded me of veggie zenga but the flavor was tasty and evoked the essence of Garfield’s fav meal without the guilt of cheese, milk, or cream. Surprisingly good for their abstaining palate, the veggie lovers have their own version of a local café. The strawberry parfait is odd but delicious!

We ordered the kale salad, pad thai, zucchini lasagna, and the«stuffed» ravioli. I was very happy with the kale salad and the lasagna as they were full of flavor. I was moderately happy with the pad thai; it just didn’t have the yummy punch of flavor I recall when I had this same dish on my previous visit. I was very much not happy with the ravioli. Last time I ordered the ravioli, it consisted of a vegetable wrap stuffed with a delicious nut paste, very much what you would expect for a ravioli. During this meal, although the price was $ 24!, I remembered this being a delicious and probably time-consuming-to-make item, so I ordered it. What was served was 4(or five) small beet sandwiches(slices of beet with a nut paste between them), with arugula in the middle WTH! $ 24?! The pear sauce under the arugula was delicious, but still, this dish is NOT worth $ 24. My guest, who is new to raw and vegan eating, was intrigued by the dishes. If you’re not new to raw and vegan dishes, you may find Café 118 lacks creativity for the high prices they charge.

So happy to find this place! Dairy and gluten free. Paleo friendly for the most part which is what really makes us stoked about this place. We got some«mylk shakes» which are basically smoothies with house made almond milk. Can’t wait to come back and try it for lunch or dinner

Visiting winter park and was looking for something beside a burger bar or starchy bring me down in the belly cuisine. This is the place. Highly rated, great food. Great service. Calm environment, and best of all honest and knowledgable employees. Will be back everyday I am visiting FL.

The food here was amazing. We had an appetizer(salad with beets and macadamia nut cheese), the tostado and pad thai entrees, and the chocolate hazelnut torte and strawberry ice cream for dessert. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. The entrees were large and very filling. We will definitely be coming back!

Meh. The food was just OK. I’ve eaten at a few raw vegan places, and this was by far the least creative, least worthwhile of them, as well as being over twice the price of any of them. Our party of 4 started with the hummus, which was flavorless but for the very tasty red pepper and tomato chips with which it was served. We all ordered juices: beet and apple(meh), the Green Glow(strong kale flavor), and two pineapple cucumber and mint(quite refreshing). Not a bad start. I had the Crispy Vegetable Rolls, and while tasty, it was basically two kale leaves wrapped around coleslaw and avocado, and seasoned with some kind of thick Asian dressing. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t that good either. Certainly not worth $ 13. My hubby had the Pad Thai, which was basically just the stuff I had in my kale rolls piled on a plate. No nutty taste. No sauce, really. And no noodles. Just a pile of cole slaw with more of that thick Asian dressing. Insulting at $ 17. My friends ordered the ravioli(also disappointing, and mostly a big pile of arugula, ridiculously overpriced at $ 24) and the lasagna(the tastiest thing on the table, $ 17). Dessert was much better. The chocolate torte was rich and satisfying. The s’mores were tasty and fun. Here’s the bottom line: Our bill was right at $ 140 for four people without alcohol. For $ 35/person, I really expect more of a gourmet experience. The mere fact that the food is not cooked does not excuse the chef from employing some art. The food is not good enough to justify these prices, even in Winter Park.

I really wanted to like this place — especially since I grew up in Orlando and its the first raw place that I am aware of. However, I went while visiting home and was just not super impressed. It was also pricey, of course, as raw food can be — especially on Park Ave in Winter Park. I would’ve been fine with the cost if it tasted as good as I hoped. The location itself is very cute though with a nice outdoor eating area. Maybe I just need to try it again.

I’ve wanted to try this place for a long time, so on a solitary day of shopping on Park Ave I decided to treat myself to lunch. Obviously the concept here is very specific and if this isn’t the way you regularly eat(raw and vegan) you need to go in with an open mind and an understanding of what you are getting. These menu items are raw interpretations of the dishes they represent. Like the fortune cookie game where you add«in bed» to the end of whatever fortune you are given, if you are unfamiliar with raw food you may be well served to add«ish» to the end of the menu choices here. Lasagne-ish, pad Thai-ish … See? Anyway I ordered the pad Thai(ish) entrée after seeing it delivered to another patron. The presentation was lovely and it looked really tasty. And it was. There is an art to preparing vegan food. And to add the raw factor is to add another layer of talent needed to create meals that have a clean yet complex flavor profile. The flavors in my dish were quite nice but my only quibble would be with the balance of ingredients. For me, the ratio of chopped cabbage to zucchini noodles was the opposite of what it should have been. Pad Thai whether it is an «ish» version or a traditional version is about the noodles. In this case I actually was eating for several minutes wondering to myself where the zucchini noodles were before I finally came across them. And sadly they were gone rather quickly and I was once again eating cole slaw — really expensive cole slaw. That’s my other issue. This place is just too expensive. The food is lovely. You are getting high quality organic healthy food but I could go around the corner to Ethos and get the same healthy ingredients(albeit not always raw) for a much more reasonable price point. I can always justify paying more for organic, sustainably produced, locally sourced food but here I just didn’t feel like I got my money’s worth. $ 17 is a lot for a plate of mostly chopped cabbage even if it is tasty. I’m glad I tried it but in all honesty I won’t go back.

Great restaurant to meet people and have a nice conversation. The food is not bad at all… even if you are no a fan of vegan/raw food. Overall, is a good restaurant to try new things. In the other hand, it can be a little expensive.(2 entrees and 2 cups of wine put my check a little over 70 $.)

This is a great little restaurant in Winter Park that has an all raw(and vegan) menu. I’ve been three times now, and every time it’s been fairly quiet, with a mix of returning and new customers. The waiters have always been friendly and knowledgable about the food. The menu is larger and slightly different than what’s currently shown on their website(at the time that I wrote this review, anyway). Out of my visits, my favorites so far are: 1. The raw zucchini lasagna(house special) 2. Goji Gold smoothie 3. Chocolate hazelnut torte I’ve also had the Pad Thai & Taco Salad, which were both pretty good, but I’d definitely pick the lasagna over either of them. The chocolate cherry milkshake(maybe called Divine Cherry?) is also pretty good. Portion was small for the zucchini lasagna, but left room for a smoothie or appetizer(or both!) to go with it. The Pad Thai and Taco Salads were larger dishes, but because it’s all veggies, still leaves me feeling good even when my tummy’s full. The restaurant is clean and service has always been exceedingly fast. The only reason for giving it 4 stars rather than 5 are the prices: The entrees hover around $ 18, with the juices and smoothies somewhere around $ 7. I appreciate that I’m getting organic, well-prepared food. But it’s still hard for me to spend $ 30 on dinner for just one person.

This was my first time eating raw foods and man was it good! I went with my friend and we were the only ones in the place. It’s quite a tiny restaurant. Our waitress was really good about working with my friends food allergy and we had a delicious meal! It was a bit on the pricey side, but it was a nice treat to be able to go to a place with my friend and not have to worry about any food allergy issues!

Stopped in for dessert and tried three scoops of the vegan/raw coconut-based ice cream. AMAZING! Dying to return for lunch or dinner. The menu looked great and creative. Very personable service and clean restaurant. Easy location just off of Park Street.

Organic, vegetarian, raw food in a modern setting that feels like it belongs somewhere in San Francisco. The food was delicious, though some portions are small, the smoothies and juices are spot on, and the employees were courteous. As other reviewers are saying though, it can be quite expensive depending on what you order. My family and I went for my dad’s birthday last month and it was a success. There were very few people there on a Sunday evening, so the restaurant was very quiet. Let it be known that everything you say may be overheard by everyone else in the restaurant since the physical set up is conducive to echoes. If you speak louder and don’t want to be overheard(woo!), it’s probably better to eat outside. Or maybe that’s just paranoia. We started with juice and smoothies. I split the Rainforest Rapture with my sister mainly because I liked the mental image of a person flying up to the heavens while in a rainforest. It was a lovely mix of acai(of course), pomegranate, blueberry, ginger(yum!), and apple. My parents tried the Raspberry Agave Lemonade(super good and not too sweet) and the Beet and Apple juice. That beet juice was killer, but I also love beets. Anyways, the food was all good, though I think my favorite item was the Taco Salad I got. Those corn chips were amazing, and the«taco meat,» «cheese,» and«sour cream,» were all delicious, complex, and intriguing. All four of us agreed that this was the best item ordered. The Chile Rellenos was also very good and similar to the Taco Salad flavor-wise(though the salad was larger and definitely had the most food for the price), the Vegetable Rolls were also very good with this amazing dipping sauce(sweet and sour I think?), and the Lasagna was good but very small. It’s apparently a signature dish, but it’s tiny and I think over-priced for what you get. The desserts were good, but I wasn’t super enamored by any of them. I tried a Strawberry Mylkshake, it was good but not great in my opinion. The cheesecakes were also okay, but I’ve never been a fan of vegan cheesecake, so I’m a poor judge. My sister is vegan and she really enjoyed her dessert. Overall I would return for the Taco Salad and/or a juice, but I don’t make the big bucks, so hopefully someone else would be paying. :)

This place ROCKS!!! I was looking for some vegetarian options and found this place. The menu looked nice and the ambience looked god. So I wanted to give this a shot. So once we went in and sat down, the waitress asked us if we dined there before and if we were familiar with raw cuisine… This was supposed to be a special meal as it was for my wife’s birthday and when she mentioned«raw cuisine» I thought thats a second strike(since my visit to Ethos the day before was nothing like that was mentioned in the reviews)… Super skeptical… i ordered the pad thia as the waitress told me thats her fav… my wife ordered the lasgna. After a short wait the food arrived… my wife’s plate looked super pretty with the layered zuccini, tomato, macadamia ricotta and basil… but I thought… just veggies on the plate? Is that filling… one bite and we both instantly fell in love with it… it was crunchy with super fresh zuccini and the texture from the macadamia ricotta was amazing… the flavorful tomato sauce. everything about it. delicious… Now, my pad thai… the first bite. when I put it in mouth I felt it needed a little more seasoning but, no I was wrong!!! With in 1⁄10 of a second, all the flavors in the sauce hit my palate… the zuccini and carrot noodles. the black sesame seeds, the almond butter, the hot sauce, the avacado. OHMYGOD you have got to be kidding me… that was my thought… I enjoyed literally every bite of it and ate the whole thing leaving absolutely nothing on the place… Well coming to my initial thought…“just veggies? Is that filling?” We were so stuffed that we didnot want to think about food the desserts sounded delicious but we were super full. so they have to wait for our next visit to orlando… SUPERHIGHLY recommend this place… the staff is very friendly… food OUTOFTHISWORLDGOOD…
