Had Chen’s delivered was here in no time at all and was delicious. The egg drop soup was especially good. Only thing is the General Tsao chicken I thought was going to be a bit spicier but still good none the less. Good portions!

When looking for a simple Asian fast food style meal it’s always daunting to pick whichever place is closest and test out your stomach on the quality. Luckily here in Winter Park, I have found Chens! A friendly group of people work here, and always deliver quality Asian cuisine on a modest budget. This is not Kobe’s or P.F. Chang’s style food, it is just good fast(everything is ready in about 10 mins) Asian cuisine. They save your number in their phone, and remember you in just a few visits. Ask for spicy on whatever you order, you wont be disappointed. I love this place when I am in the mood for Chinese, you will too.

Every once in a while I get a Chinese food craving… so I stopped in here tonight and ordered the Kung Pao Chicken. They were really quick, and nice enough, so I give them props for that and their inexpensive prices. However, a couple things bothered me. 1) Some of the chicken in the kung pao chicken was totally dark meat chicken. Or else it just tasted weird. That’s not standard, right? I didn’t like it. 2) They could change the side of white rice to pork fried rice for no additional charge, but to get vegetarian fried rice, I had to pay 4.50 extra for the whole vegetable fried rice portion. You gotta do what you gotta do, but next time I think I’ll try elsewhere.

Boyfriend and I decided to stay in and have Chinese take out tonight so I looked up trust Chen’s Bistro’s number and we ordered enough food to feed a small country: pu pu platter, a small hot and sour soup, general tso’s chicken, vegetable lo mein, and a four seasons. Service wise, it was prompt and staff was friendly, the food is good and definitely reasonable. However, I think the taste is pretty average, they seem to use the same sauce for the lo mein and four seasons — then again, I’m not surprised it was completely soy sauce based. Is this my favorite place to get take-out? Yes, it’s reliable. But am I willing to try other restaurants? If you throw me a recommendation this-a-way :)

Just received my order. Staff was extremely friendly(that’s a rarity nowadays). Sad to say there was a medium length dark strand of hair laying clear across a mound of rice upon opening my container. Pretty gross. The food IMO was mediocre at best, def not what I was expecting but not horrible. I know my hubby will be disappointed with his meal because its his fav– general tso– and it lacked any kick and was sweet almost like rib sauce and I’m not nearly as picky as he is with that. Egg rolls were among the best I’ve had in Orlando. Can’t say I would order again but if you are looking for a cheap filling meal without extraordinary taste I would say give it a go.

I know everyone has their own Chinese takeout place, but in my mind, you cannot claim that yours is «the best» until you try Chen’s Bistro. The food is always fresh and of the best quality, the portions are huge, and the owners are without a doubt the nicest people on the planet. I’ve had my fair share of takeout in the Winter Park area, but I still can’t find anything that comes close to beating Chen’s. You don’t have to believe me, but all I recommend is that you at least give it a shot!

I stopped into Chen’s last night looking for a a good inexpensive meal based on Doron’s review. I haven’t had Chinese in a while so I figured I’d give it a go. Pros: Super friendly staff. Good portion sizes. I got stuffed and then took the rest home and snacked off of it two more times that night before bed — You know the routine! Relatively inexpensive. Most of the entrée dishes are under $ 8 with your standard fried rices, lo meins, etc less than that. Even the egg rolls were only $ 1.35! I ordered the veggie lo mein and it was well prepared. The egg rolls were piping hot and crispy. Good Chopsticks! Not the cheap kind you have to snap apart! They use the nice rounded bamboo chop sticks! So good I saved mine to take home. They advertise free delivery. The cons: Well the ambiance is practically nonexistent. It’s not unattractive it’s just kind of cold and sterile environment. I think they do a good bit of carryout so that may explain it. I am also not a big fan of cheap little plastic forks, and tiny little napkins and my soy/mustard/sweet and sour coming out of tiny little packets. Overall great value from friendly folk. If you are getting take-out and have your own utensils and plates at home then you would be right on the money at Chen’s. But take your sweetheart someplace else if you are looking for a cozy little booth in the back. Update: There is no longer a Blockbuster there as a landmark. They are next to the Aloma Draft House behind Baskin-Robbins/Dunkin’ Donuts

A nice family owned Chinese delivery/take out. This place is fast, consistent, economical, tastes good and doesn’t leave you feeling sick. I am a fan of this place the once in a long time that I have the urge to get Chinese. But worth checking out if you are in the area and they deliver, or you are going out to rent a movie at the Blockbuster there(it is next door).
