AsI sit and try to enjoy dinner they are sweeping and removing napkin holders. One server actually said they close at 9:40. Rude and ridiculous! I used to like this place. Where is management?

My friend and I were looking for a place with great tasting food for a great price and a good portion and we found everything we wanted at Jimmy Hulas! I had the luau taco and oh my ! It was filled with flavor! My friend built his Own burger and loved it! The fries and the chips were ONPOINT! To top it off we had a delicious corn dish that is amazing on chips! The staff was helpful and super kind — even the customers were sweet! Being from the beach this place felt like home. New favorite place.

I can’t say enough how much I LOVE this place and I usually don’t care for the self-serve type of restaurant. The concept, flavors, and freshness just outshines other restaurant choices. Last night I had the Malibu Taco, but instead with crispy chicken and slaw added. The flour tortilla was perfect, fresh yet crisp on the outside. My son had his favorite — The Duke burger with Macaroni and cheese added(can it BE any better?) and we also ordered the amazing Zucchini fries with the Lava sauce which is completely yummy and good on ANYTHING. Service was very good and we did not have to wait long for our food to come out. I don’t think they could have done better then this. This was the best and freshest tasting food that I’ve had in a LONG time. If I could eat this every day I would.

the tacos are pretty good but they stopped selling my cajun tator tots! I probably won’t go back until they start selling them again… hopefully they get enough feedback that they bring back those tots!

My family tried out Jimmy Hula’s on a Friday evening, and what a place! I had a Hermosa Beach with onion rings. Wife had a Burnt Reynolds and sweet potato fries. Everything was incredibly good, and fairly quick. Kids meals came out wicked fast. Service was very good and helpful from the entire staff. The whole restaurant seems like it belongs in Cocoa Beach, not Winter Park, and I’m very thankful it’s here!

My favorite place for a casual fish taco with fresh tap beer. Very good price for beers. Sometimes the blackened/fried taco can get bit salty but I just figured it out you can ask for half seasoned, so it’s not that strong/salty. Perfect for my taste!

I’m so happy to have found another awesome burger place! My husband ordered the Juan Jovi burger and I ordered the Santa Barbara. I was torn between that and the Hawaiian burger. I’d read good reviews about the voodoo sauce in the Santa Barbara, which was what swayed me, but even with the voodoo sauce on it, I wished it had more flavor. We had also ordered the mojo fries with the AMAZING lava sauce, which is sweet and creamy, so I poured some on my burger and that took it to the next level. Delicious! We will be back and I will definitely order the Hawaiian burger, which, I believe comes with the lava sauce. My husband loved the Juan Jovi burger, no complaints!

I ordered a fish taco and onion rings. The taco came out in 30 seconds, and the rings in about 10 minutes when I was completely finished with the taco. That tells me that the fried fish was just sitting around back in the kitchen cooked way ahead of time. One bite confirmed that. That said, those were the best onion rings I’ve had in a lo-O-ong time! …and that’s really saying something because I usually prefer the battered ones and these were breaded. Plus it came with a heavenly sauce not mentioned on the menu. Nice seating for solo diners. Open air seats facing Aloma so you can watch the world go by. A very pleasant way to have dinner.

Everything I’ve ever ordered from Jimmy Hula’s has been delicious! Always a good place to stop for a quick lunch, great atmosphere. My latest obsession has been their Jimichurri Pork Bowl — SO good and filling, can never finish it… until about an hour later ;)

Rolled through yesterday because I was craving a burger with an egg on it(Burnt Reynolds) and some zucchini fries. Patiently waited for my takeout and left. I only live approx 4 miles from this place and I finished my zucchini fries in probably less than 2, after swearing to myself I was only going to have one. Able to save a quarter of my burger for breakfast this morning, which helped with a slight hangover. Phenomenal as always, zero ways to improve my food. Wish they opened a Jimmy Hulas downtown & not a Wahlburgers. :’(

Best tacos around! They have so many different kinds to choose from, it’s always hard to decide. I always get the mojo fries when I come because the sauce is so delicious that it haunts my dreams. This time around I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Caesar taco(which, I admit, are my go-to) and a Johnny Utah taco, which I had never tried before but was so incredibly thankful that I did. I’ve never been disappointed during a visit, but this particular one was pretty extraordinary. They were having issues with their computer but it didn’t get in the way of our service; the staff was as attentive as ever and took our orders right away and came to the table with the check soon after. To top off the already great meal we were about to have, a sever came by and asked if we wanted a couple free beers because they were trying to get a new keg in but needed to finish one off. Being the avid beer drinkers we are, that was pretty much the most beautiful thing anyone could have asked us. The beer was great, the food was amazing, and the entire experience really made for a wonderful evening.

Really glad we made it back to this place now that we’re home. The menu has evolved since we left but in a good way! Name of the game now is variety. On offer are tacos, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and more. They also have bottled beers and some wine as well. Staff was quick to greet our group. Seating is a plenty and a varied as the menu. We went with the covered patio, high top tables since they’re larger. Food was quick and tasty. Get a mix of tacos to share and try all the flavors. Each one holds it own. Overall: A Solid food joint.

I didn’t know what to expect when I walked into Jimmy Hulas. We live within walking distance and we drive by daily and I honestly expected a full service restaurant(which it is not — which is fine). It has kitschy décor and their seats are like old car seats which is pretty awesome. It’s more like Tijuana flats where you order and they bring the food out to you. I had the voodoo burger and the counter girl recommended I ask for the sauce on the side. I love spicy food, but if somebody recommends sauce on the side, I definitely heed the warning. Burger and fries were very much standard. Honestly, I can’t figure out why I didn’t like it, but I can’t say I enjoyed it either. Best compared to decent college cafeteria burger. Meat could have definitely used more seasoning. The shining star was definitely that voodoo sauce though. If I could just rate the sauce, it would be 5 stars. It definitely packs a punch, but somehow integrates a cooling sensation. It’s not for the weak, but it has flavor other than capsaicin. I’m glad that she put it on the side because it was a sizable side container and after drenching my burger, I had enough to pour on my fries. The only shame was that my fries were not hot nor that crispy :(. I will have to try Jimmy Hulas again soon. Just anything with that Voodoo sauce.

I used to go to this place ALL of the time when they first opened. I lived next door, which was dangerous. It seems like the menu has changed a bit, but nothing drastic. I need to go a few more times to really try things out. But, it seems like any kinks there were early on a few years ago have been worked out. The food is still very good, and the service spectacular. I wish they had a bit more variety to their beer selection. It’s a good start, but not great. It can get quite busy, which slows down service, but that is to be expected. And, I recall in he summer it can be very uncomfortable if they have all of the big doors opened up. Last time I went, it was mild so it wasn’t a problem. I am only giving it four stars because I feel like I haven’t had enough of an experience to give it five.

Delicious! Love that you can get the fish cooked any way you want if you are trying to watch those calories! The fry options are delicious and they have a great selection of beer. The SWEETPOTATOFRIES. Greatest ever. What is with Florida and sweet potato fries?! They are way better here. And this spot takes the cake. They’re huge! Lots of delightful sweet potato inside.

Oh, Jimmy… you were so close to 4 stars. I ordered a Voodoo taco and a Wipeout taco(both of which were fantastic), along with some mojo fries. My fries came out fresh and hot. My wife got a burger combo with Cajun fries. Her fries had way too much seasoning, which made them really salty. She took them back and was told that they couldn’t make new fries for her(what?). They offered to re-fry the original fries, and that would knock off some of the seasoning(again, what?). I’m not a chef, but that makes no sense to me at all. After some eye-rolling from the chef, they gave her some more Cajun fries that were just as salty as the first ones. Next time we’ll know to order plain fries with a cup of Cajun seasoning on the side. We were having such a good experience, and they want to mess it up over some fries? Not cool, Jimmy…

I have a new taco joint. Hawaiian style tacos are the way to go! My first time here and definitely NOT my last! I knew it would be perfect when the sign said«Soup of the day: Beer» My first thought– it can only get better from here and it did. You order, sit, and they bring the food out to you. The food comes out fast and as its ready so don’t expect everything at once. We got 4 tacos, a side, a salad, a soda and a beer for $ 29 and some change. Not too shabby and totally worth every penny. The 4 tacos were the voodoo, malibu, bangin beef and the chicken standard. The standard was good but so plain after the 3 other tacos we had-lol. The rest were Fantabulous! The side we got were the zucchini fries and the sauce served with them was super delicious. And the side ceaser salad was excellent! The beer selection is 97% craft. mostly bottles with 4 draughts. I got Kona Firerock on draught since it’s my fave of the Kona selections. and it matches perfectly with the Hawaiian — esk theme! Pretty much. if u haven’t been to a Jimmy Hulas you are missing A LOT! Wish I went sooner but no worries – it now holds a special place in my tummy ;)

I blame my husband completely. «Let’s try here» He said. «My coworkers love it» He said. «I want fish tacos» he said. Anyway, I was in a good mood and wanted to try something different. Service was OK and the atmosphere was fine. We sat at a car seat type booth, although I think it can use some fixing up as it was falling apart a little. The Food: I got a Jr. Kahuna combo with Monterey jack cheese, grilled onions and sweet potato fries. The hubs got a Luau taco and a Voodoo taco. We also got a cabo trio. There was nothing special about the tortilla chips, guac and salsa. The hub liked his fish tacos, but nothing amazing about them. Now, the only thing I asked on my burger other than the cheese and grilled onions was some ketchup. I didn’t say a lot of ketchup or really specify the amount, I assumed like most people that some ketchup means a sensible sprinkle of sauce. When my burger came and I lifted the bread my hubby said he saw my face and mood completely change. My burger was swimming in ketchup like a little brown raft in the red sea. I said, OK whatever I’ll try it. Alas, the burger floated around lettuce and bun like a hockey puck on a newly zambonied ice rink. It was impossible to eat without looking like a heathen with red sauce dripping down my fingers. The sweet potato fries were meh. A little to thickly cut for my taste. That burger though; I usually like a little more burger with my ketchup. The hubby told the manager who apologized but didn’t do much else. At least Jeremiah’s italian ice right down the street made up for it.
