Great experience. Loved my make up it was fabulous. The makeup artist did everything to make me feel beautiful My hair didn’t have much volume to it and the curl feel within two hours, but hey it’s Florida. It was a wonderful, fun, relaxing environment for our bridal party. I would go back again. Everyone was so sweet and helpful. Really enjoyed this salon.

The view, atmosphere, and Linda (out nail tech) were AMAZING! This is definitely going to be the only place I get my nails done after today! Linda was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. After coming here I finally know what my previous nail services have been missing. Not to mention this is the cleanest and best kept nail salon I’ve ever been to! If you come here, you won’t regret your decision!

I wanted to love this place I really did. The idea of a spa that does everything, membership options for frequent services and a fun namesake was great.
Unfortunately I was absolutely disappointed.
My mom and I wanted to get pedicures and gel manicures on a Thursday evening. We called ahead to see if we could get on and we were able to. The receptionist did not however tell us there was only one technician working. So instead of getting pedicures at the same time we had to go one at a time. By the time my pedicure was done it was around 8 (we got there right after 6). At that point we hadn’t even started on the manicures, I desperately needed one but because we were there so late my mom opted out.
I’ve gotten many gel manicures over the years and this is the worst one ever. My cuticles were not trimmed, just pushed back, and there are now cuts around my nail beds from the dry skin that was clipped to close. For those unfamiliar, gel manicures typically last 2ish weeks. As I write this, 3 days later, I’ve already got one nail that is chipped and one nail the polish has completely come off.
I wish the receptionist would’ve told us to come another day so that both of could get both services we requested at the same time. Also, for the cost of the service I would expect the manicure to last more than 3 days.

I’ve been to both Bianca, and Jeff for gel manicures. Both are amazing. They’re so friendly, and take the time to make sure your nails are perfect. I will always come here from now on. Love the environment, and the staff.
Bianca also does eyebrow threading, and is fantastic! Didn’t think my eyebrows could be fixed, but she did it!

I have been to this location a few times now, and it’s awesome! I loved it so much that I ended up working with Heather to book appointments for myself and my bridal party to get manis and pedis before my wedding!
Leading up to our appointment, I was a little nervous because I had to keep changing things around because of our schedule, but Heather was super helpful in helping to keep me organized AND making sure we were appropriately scheduled to get out of there on time to get to the rehearsal dinner. All of my girls were amazed at how clean/​cute this location is, we’ve all been to a number of different nail places around town, and this is by far one of the nicest! All of our techs were great, and we had such a relaxing time catching up and indulging in a little champagne and cupcakes!
Thank you SO much for making our spa day such a treat, we had a great time and I’m sure we’ll be back :)

Love coming to this spa the employees sre so friendly. I have blow outs manis pedis facials and massages. Highly recommend!

I’ve been going to this salon for a few months and I am in love.
Leandra is the best nail technician I have ever had!!! She takes her time and is a perfectionist. Love her!
I have also joined the blowout club and go about twice per week and EVERYONE is super talented and does a great job.
The customer service rocks as well!

I usually really like this place. They give consistently good blow outs, and nice conversation. But going in recently to see Jenny made me not want to come back. She was quite rude and made me feel very unwelcome. I like almost everyone else, but would not go back to see Jenny.

This place sucked… I went in with Red Hair Extensions and my hair was already red. But just about 1 shade darker than the extensions… So I asked to have my hair done to match. The Manager did my hair, and when she was finished… Made my hair a completely different shade of red and tried to convince me that my hair color matched, she curled my hair so I couldn’t put in the extensions. I had to go in and try to get it corrected. I gave her one more chance. She attempted the second time and got the color right. But the color completely washed out after two washes. WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD. On top of that… By the time I was done I spent over $ 220!!! Never come here. On top of her curling my hair and trying to get me to not notice the color difference, she had the others try to over compliment me so I wouldn’t notice as well. Ridiculous place.

Love this place. I come twice a week for a blow out. I would recommend Tarah, Thomas, and Chelsea. (Only can speak on those three because I have not had service from anyone else). I have super thick hair that is semi curly. All three have done a fantastic job. They listen to what I say as I prefer my blowout a certain way. I appreciate their extra touch. The ladies at the front are wonderful! I walk in an I get greeted my name. I’m not just a number. I never have to wait as the stylist is always ready for me. No complaints from me so far.
Coming back to my post to add an update as of 11÷26÷2015− my Dad is visiting for Thanksgiving an I needed to get him a haircut so I took him to see Tarah. My Dad is very picky an hates getting his hair cut because the cut is always terrible. Today we got home an he took his hat off to show my mom what a great haircut he got an how his trimmed eyebrows look. #winning thanks Tarah!

My boyfriend and I went in to get pedicures around 4pm on a Sunday. I was so excited to go and get my toes done while looking out on the beautiful lake.
We were greeted by a nice girl, who said they were completely booked for the day. We ere totally bummed, but understood that we didn’t make an appointment. She offered to still give us a tour and as we walked around, there were employees walking around but not 1 person was getting manicures or pedicures. It was the strangest thing, maybe they decided to close early that day and didn’t want to say anything, I don’t know but I was very disappointed. The hair studio was super small and 1 person was getting color done.
I’m not giving it 1 star because It is a beautiful place, maybe another time I will make an appointment and give it another shot.

Orlando is very limited in this realm as is, but after looking at Unilocal reviews I was excited to have my hair and makeup done as it seems you had the best reviews of blow dry bars in the area, period. With that being said, I was coming in for hair and makeup for my friend’s wedding as I was a bridesmaid. To preface, I am a salon manager and stylist and I was sadly very disappointed in the execution and overall services. To start with hair, I had brought in a picture of an up-​do that I loved and I showed to my stylist. Super nice guy, just was not capable of recreating the look I was going for. My picture showed a messy, romantic, undone style and I walked out with a structured bun that looked confused. The makeup, again super nice girl, just would not consider her to be a true makeup artist. I only say this because a makeup artist is just that, an artist. When I asked if I could have some contouring done, she said «I don’t know how to do that.» I appreciate the honesty, but a true MUA knows how to highlight and contour. The product you have is okay, but when I left, I definitely was not photo ready. I went to the hotel to meet the girls and thankfully had enough time to pack on some more makeup before pictures. When traveling, you really have no idea what you are going to get and I guess I took my chances. Again, very nice staff, just disappointed that $ 120 later, I walked out unsatisfied.

This is the worst Marilyn’s location. I stood at the front waiting to purchase makeup for 10 minutes and not so much as a hello or acknowledgement that I was even there. No one ever helped me, and I left without buying what I really needed. The girl at the front was about as friendly as a porcupine. I won’t go to this location again, and I’m questioning my loyalty of the brand overall.

Had a wonderful massage with the gentleman masseuse here for my birthday. He was so kind and didn’t make me feel rushed to get in the door or out of it afterwards. He took the time to speak with me while I waited for my husband to pick me back up instead of leaving me at the front like I expected him to. He was an expert at his craft and though there was some typical noise from the doors opening and closing around us, it didn’t bother me. I look forward to many more visits! Much better than those chain massage parlors around town!

Went in for makeup was not impressed make up was not blended looked blotchy definitely was not worth $ 70 would not recommend at all did not look like I got make up done by a make up artist

Easy to make an appointment online, great price and monthly service options. Clean and inviting environment. Had a pedicure with Shawna and she was fantastic and made me feel relaxed. Would definitely go again.

Amazing experience, felt like I was at home having a girlfriend day spa… the people are so friendly/​great costumer service. I had the 25 minute facial and pedicure with SHEANA, OMG she is super cool, and knows her stuff. I would highly recommend her if you ever in there. she took the time to educate me about the products and give me great pointers with what to do with my skin type… and they also have tea and milk my favorite drink to relax and enjoy a pedicure. GO SEE SHEANA!

I’ve been to the Mills location multiple times, but this location is closer to where I live so I was dying to try it out.
Needed a relaxing and stress-​free day, and had a great Mani/​Pedi here. It was just what I needed! Great view of the lake!
The only thing that bummed me out was, at the Mills location when I’d get manis or pedis I would get to keep my polish, but I didn’t get a bottle to keep this time. So that was a bummer. But still a great location with a great team working there!

I frequently visit Trader Joe’s and saw the Marilyn Monroe Spa but never visited one. I was in need of a haircut and a friend of mine referred me to go there and give them a try! The store is in a beautiful location that is lakeside and the nail salon area is over looking the lake. The inside was cute and very clean. I was greeted by Sam who was very nice and offered me a drink. Tarah was my stylist and also offered me a drink (ended up with two waters: p). Immediately after introducing herself, she asked me about my hair, how I manage it and what I was looking for. I showed her a picture of what I was looking for and she gave me so many tips and suggestions based on what I told her. I was very impressed! When she washed my hair she was courteous and asked if I was tender headed, I said no and she was not rough washing my hair at all. Very relaxing, haha! Tarah was friendly and super nice and I loved the end result of my new du! She offered some of the products she used in my hair but was not pushy about me purchasing any of them. I ended up buying 1 product anyway based on her suggestions about managing my hair and how to make me look my best even on lazy days! Plus it made my hair look amazing. All in all, a very pleasant experience. All of the staff seemed very nice and it was a great experience! Thank you Tarah and staff!

I visited this gorgeous location Thursday afternoon and scheduled a gel manicure with Leandra. This spa is only a few months old and it is spectacular! I was greeted by Sam at the front desk and was offered a beverage and took a seat while I waited for my service provider. I have walked around the Lakeside property before, and continue to be in awe at the beautiful location! I could see a few people taking engagement shoots and there was a paddleboard class on the lake going on. Leandra came and escorted me to the nail bar (they have hooks on the table for your purse-​SO convenient and love that I don’t have to worry about putting my bag on the floor!) and had me choose my color. I selected «Determined» a beautiful dark blue/​navy color, and she suggested I put «Natural» underneath to make the dark color pop! I am so glad she mentioned that because the color is much more vibrant than if we hadn’t done that! The manicure was flawless; she took great care when filing my sensitive nails and we had great conversation. The nail bar faces the lake so there’s always something to look at :) They also have pedicure thrones, a hair and makeup bar, and a treatment room where they offer massages and facials so I will definitely be back :) They also have a great rewards program where you get «points» for money spent. Sounds like a great deal.
Can’t wait to be back for more services!
