I walk at this park a lot for exercise and relaxation. The park is beautiful, but it unfortunately has a problem with trash. It makes me sad to see trash in the pond. I do wish that winter park would take better care of it. I will continue to walk here, but hopefully winter park will step up their cleaning efforts.

This is a review for the playground alone, and having been a regular at this playground for a number of years with our son, I can honestly say that I am a bit disappointed with the recent renovation. I know in some areas it was getting a bit worn, and definitely needed to be fixed up, but they went and removed many of the unique features that this playground once had. Gone are the large tires, and many of the connecting pieces that made it a veritable maze for kids to wander in. Now it is separated into several pieces, with the curling slide separated off entirely from the playground itself. I know I speak for our son as well that he was bummed by the loss of some of his favorite things. It is still a great playground, it just feels a bit neutered after the repairs and restoration have been done.

First time here and already I love it. It’s nice and big with lots of little hides holes and obstacles for the kids to climb and hide and just have fun. It’s a little worn out in places, but there’s a sign saying they’re going to be revamping it. It’s also made of wood, so beware of splinters. It’s nicely shaded so parents can rest without sweltering in the Florida heat. My only real complaint is there really isn’t a lot of places for parents to sit and there are a lot of corners and exits off the play place that kids can get out of sight extremely quickly.

The playground is great, especially for parents that grew up in the 80s. It’s that old style wood castle/fort style playground with tires and bare metal. Get some bruises, scrapes and bumps, kid! We visited during Orange County School District’s spring break. There were lots of kids and parents playing. The only downside was the pod of teenage boys hanging out in one of the«parapets.» They weren’t being obnoxious or rude, but I think their presence freaked out the littler kids.

Sweet scenic park that has a little something for everyone in its 23 acres. Great place to stop and eat a quick bite, enjoy a walk among the grounds on the half-mile trail on the lake and over the wooden bridge. There is a shaded playground, park benches, athletic facilities, and the sunsets view is nice too. Easy parking.
